Will I still need to purchase OS X Mavericks after it's released or is the GM seed i'm downloading from my dev account be the same as the public release

Does anyone know if its possible to upgrade directly to the GM.
I am on DP4 and really can't be bothered downloading each DP separately. I couldn't find a combo update for the latest DP

with the GM version its full download of the OS and clean install is required.

Any upgrade price info yet? Usually it's announced during WWDC right?

If it's going to be free like iOS upgrade then WOW!

Most definitely I will be doing a clean install...thing that worries me is my photos on iPhoto. I need to find a way to transfer them

Probably we will see a release date and price announcement on the October 15th event (assuming that will be the day of the next Apple event)

Don't take my word for it, but I think you can just copy the iPhoto Library from your Pictures folder to an external HDD. Then transfer it back after your clean install.

Last two releases I think they announced pricing at the conference call. Anyhow they announce the price when they debut it publicly

I wouldn't hold your breath. Apple still charges for software elsewhere - the only time they give it away is on a whole different platform.

Can anyone answer is they fixed reminders, Game Center, and the other skeuomorphic apps? Felt and leather gone??

I'll probably ask some of the guys at the Apple Store to see what they think before I upgrade. Cause last time I did a clean install was last year with Lion and I had to redo my entire iPhoto gallery and albums by transferring the photos that were saved on Photo Stream. Suffice to say I got them all back....but it wasn't fun.

I just need a simpler and faster way to do it.
