Go ahead and upgrade. I got mine in August, but just last week I did a reinstall because the system volume was wonky -- it downloaded the stuff from the internet and reinstalled over the existing OS -- NOT A CLEAN REINSTALL.
Now it's working alright, but I am downloading ML right now and the first thing I'm going to do is just simply UPGRADE. If there aren't any improvements in performance or worse -- if the performance is worse, THEN I would consider spending the extra time doing a clean install.
Wow that was a long install - around 40 minutes. The GM only took about 20.

Mine took a few hours to upgrade. Went to -1 hr 15 minutes or so then back to about 15 minutes again and then finished.
Mine is just finishing I think. It went for 30 minutes, and is now going for a further 20 minutes. Only 10 minutes of that to go now.
Yep filled out the form at a similar time. Think it was a bit earlier when they had no MBA option. Given up for today I think. Wouldn't mind leaving it over night.
Does it feel....snappier...than Lion?

If it is the same build, would one need to upgrade from the GM to the App Store one?
Because otherwise it would already be released
If you have the GM, you have the version that was released today. No need to do anything further.

Yup. 2.5 hours and still waiting for a code. I know it's been said before, but why didn't they make this page available yesterday? I just spent $3k on a new machine and I can't get ML at the same time everyone else does. Yes, I know, I could just spend the $20 if I want is so bad. That's not the point though.
Okay for the people that got a invalid code or used code like me for ML. Go to the support page in apple's website. Then click contact Apple Support. Then go to were it says Mac App Store and it should have a blue link saying "Mac App Store E-Mail Support". When you click that just fill in the details and explain that you got a used code. You'll get a personal response from Apple saying that they're going to issue you a new code within 24-48 hrs. i got a response within less than a hour. I know Apple said they were going to issue codes to people that got a used code but just E-Mail them so they have your case in record.
