bluetooth controllers

support for bluetooth controllers like dualshock3 would be a bonus :)

I know , it was not all that popular , but ... Anything for the old Panasonic 3DO ?

Playing the original "Road Rash" and "Need For Speed" , would be sweet !!

I don't understand the significance of this. I've been using Kega Fusion, SNES9x, and mupen64 for some time now, and they're fine. I care little for stupid aesthetics. Give me proper functionality (such as save states), and I'll be fine.

I think the idea is that by separating and unifying the UI, video, audio, and controls, it makes it easier for people to write new emulator cores. They basically ONLY have to worry about the actual emulation.

This looks awesome! Are there adaptors/drivers for using actual console controllers instead of the keyboard?

Doubt it since everything before the PS2 used some form of serial connection. There are a few USB devices that will take input from older game controllers and send them out as HID signals. One of those would probably work.

Put this on the AppleTV

With a replica wireless controller and we can have all of our favorite consoles again. And maybe I'll finally be able to refuel my F-14 tomcat and live through the day.

I bet Apple is thinking hard about how it can prevent these types of apps from being on Macs. It's not gonna be allowed on the Mac App Store, so... let's see... what options do they have left.

Well, their trump card, disable that little Gate Keeper switch in the OS X settings that says 'Anywhere'...

This looks very interesting and if they can support the Amiga too then I will definitely be sold!

Not to be a downer but wouldn't old games coded for SD television either look native in a small window (720 x 525 or less) or show a fair amount of pixelation/jaggies scaled up to- say- an iMac (full) screen? I don't think at least some of those old consoles were using much vector back then; I though bit map graphics was most of THE way back in those days.

Nevertheless, sentimental joys could be upon us again.

OpenEmu does include a lot of high-quality filters that can for example reproduce the look of an old CRT TV (with all the scanlines and NTSC artifacts)

Yeah I'm sure Apple will block all legacy applications just to keep the platform free of those "evil" emulators... /sarcasm

God I hope not!!

The day they limit mac software to the Mac App Store is the last time I buy a Mac.

Amazing how these morons won't support 10.6.8 or Snow Leopard??? But they will support trashy Lion...

Oh well... MAME will always trample anything openEMU has and plus many more... Also, openEMU doesn't support intellivision or Odyssey 2, so I will pass on this... MAME RULEZ!!!!

MAME > Openemu. And to the developers: SUPPORT SNOW LEOPARD we have a right to it also.
