It does feel snappier...not sure if I am still asleep...Firefox very quick...not seeing issues yet...zzzzzzzzzzzzz

I have asked the question on Yosemite Tech as requested but do not know how long it will take to get a reply.

I can not afford to chance updating to Yosemite unless I can find out if it is compatible with VM Fusion 6.0.2, it probably is with VM7 but I can not upgrade yet. Anybody able to help?

It's called sarcasm, also it's not free, it's factored into the cost of my £2000 rMBP.

The previous OS was factored into that price.

I'd personally happily pay for this update. I often leave my phone in my room when I work elsewhere on my MBP so to have ability to make and receive calls off my Mac and regular texts come through are superb additions.

Despite multiple discussions and posts that the Mac Mini and MacBook Air 2011 models would be compatible with Handoff because they have Bluetooth 4.0, it is NOT compatible!

The hardware is there. As I understand it, it has the hardware it needs, yet Apple has chosen to support 2012 models or newer regardless of the hardware. Am I missing something??

Feedback Assistant is integral to both Mavericks and Yosemite

Not something that generally exists in final public releases though.

Feedback Assistant was integral to at least two OS X releases before Yosemite.

Feedback Assistant 3.2.3 was amongst the essentials in 'Install OS X Mavericks.app' 1.3.44 (477.1) for OS X 10.9.4.

Interesting. Never noticed it in Mavericks or any other public version.

Upgrade?

To upgrade through the App Store is estimated at 19 hours!
To download from the App Store is estimated at 21 minutes!

Um, why? Is the 'stuff' coming from different servers? This sounds ridiculous...

The range for the first option bounced between 12 and 32 hours, and the later is staying at 21 minutes, so far.

So far, on my MBP, Flash update seems squirrelly, and Norton is going nuts on a friends MBP freaking crap over Discoveryd. I didn't recommend blocking that one, but generally recommend blocking anything they don't recognize...

I'm excited to read Siracusa's review. He hasn't been a fan of transparency so it'll be interesting to see what his thoughts are on Yosemite or what he can dig up on it.

I was disappointed and I wonder Apple had any influence because he really didn't convey much distaste for it.
