Installed clean on separate partition on my work 15" rMBP. Installed in 12 minutes after downloading the installer file. Looks amazing! Don't want to get too spoiled though since I need to use Mavericks most of the time until the Fall when Yosemite launches for real.:D

I guess I should have just waited until October.

I'm about to clone this Air using SuperDuper and install Yosemite on my main partition. Hopefully it works just fine, but I'll restore if it doesn't.

Sorry, I'm not reading through 10 pages of comments

that's why there are 10 pages, because people are too lazy to read what might not interest them and keep clogging pages and pages with the same questions.

I have no idea why but it's interesting you responded

Anyone else not able to get thru to the website? Been stuck on the "We'll be back soon." page and the overload error.

Downloaded and installed OS X Yosemite beta on my main machine in about 30 minutes, no problems whatsoever at this point. Just about every file I have is backed up online so I am not too concerned about loosing anything.

OS X is finally looking like a modern operating system.

I am hesitant to create another partition because I have a bootcamp partition and disk utility specifically states that making changes might make that partition unbootable, plus I thought I saw here or elsewhere that others messed up their bootcamp partition this way. Has anyone successfully added a partition when they had an existing bootcamp partition without issue? Or should I just install on an external drive?

Hm, I am on 50Mbps LTE and it worked flawlessly, just had to restart the computer and modem. Before it was lagging to a point of plain text Dev Page.

Got the code, it appears in my App Store purchases tab. But it keeps getting stuck around the 1GB downloaded point. Somewhere around 18-25 min remaining.

I would go external without a second thought.

I finally got through a short while ago, got stuck on "Retrieving Code" (see pic), now it's back to "We'll be back soon" arg :(

Yea, your BootCamp partition is screwed if you make another partition. Try on an external.
