Os x 10.10

Got in through my second attempt.

Downloaded consistently at 5MB/s+

Installed without hiccup.

Made my Mac Mini Server 2010 fly like the proverbial off a shovel - with only 4GB of RAM and no SSD.

Well done Apple - looks & feels absolutely great.

I haven't gotten past 1.5 GB and only got past 1.1 once.

W h a t a j o k e.

A download shouldn't lose the handshake so easily. Never had any problems before with a server unable to commit to the process like this.

W a s t e o f t i m e.

If you have the patience of a hamster maybe you shouldn't be in the beta program in the first place.

haha that's rough. I haven't gotten to 2gb before it errors out. I'm just going to wait until this evening.

Same. It shows up under purchases so at least I do not have to worry about not getting my spot (though I signed up way before than anyone else).

for me, it says that code has already been used, Any Advice on this please? thankyou

Heat / Fans

Is YOsemite keeping heat under control on the 2010 13" MBP? Just wanna make sure it doesn't melt the machine! :D

... and I jinxed myself. 4.89GB out of 5.07 downloaded and got the error message saying failed.

I'm done with this farce. I have no interest in attempting to do something so simple that can't be completed. It is inexcusable to subject users to this.

You've got up to 1 million beta testers, who are not all trying to download at once, and you can't make it work, yet many more people than this upgraded on day one to Mavericks. How can you make downloads work then but not now.

Sad. Pathetic. Someone dropped the ball.

Downloaded and installed without a single issue. Honestly, cannot believe how smooth the process was. Also, holy stable!! very good for a beta.. safari has a little lag here and there, but no other issues so far :)

It will probably be worse in the evening when people get back from work/school/w.e the heck they do.

It's already the evening for those of us in Europe.

And the site is still dead.

As posted above, surely it would have been easier to mail out codes to those who'd already registered?

Oh Thank You, mighty spinning beach ball, is this a public beta or a public alpha? lol

Just restart your install I had the same thing with 6 minutes to go, and then I had an incident where it no longer detected my keyboard, it's a beta for a reason. Just bear with it...

Possibly; however given that downloads are failing for many (or just me), I would assume it would make no difference. As someone said before, someone dropped the ball, and they didn't just drop any ball, they dropped the biggest one affiliated with the public beta. Does that even make sense?
