I've had to exit the dev program and re-sign up to get a code a few times, every time it goes to the app store after redeeming the code and it says successful it takes me to the app update/downloading page but nothing ever pops up. Help?

I have seen cases where it just takes time for the server to communicate to the Mac that it needs to show the download. It should appear eventually, but you can also try rebooting the Mac a few times and/or signing in and out of the App Store a few times to refresh it.

Wooooo!

I signed out of my account on the Apple Seed page and resigned in and I got a brand new code and it worked!

Ok guys,

I got the code already redeemed error. Signed up after WWDC. etc etc

I finally am downloading Yosemite. How?

Easy.

Scroll down to the end of the page. Click Leave Program. Leave.

Go to the beta program page. Click sign up. Enter your ID again.

It will give you a new code. Copy and paste it manually into the AppStore.

It will accept and start downloading.

Oh, also, it will give you the "We'll be back page" again and again. Just hit reload when that happens.

Apple. It Just Works.

Thanks, it works.

Yep. Stop me. Not a single issue so far. Get over yourselves.

There's no "getting over yourselves". It's just pretty amazing people will install known buggy prerelease software on their computers, against the advice of Apple and every single reviewer and pundit. And then many of those people will complain bitterly when they get shafted by something in that software.

If you're fine with possibly nuking your system, more power to you. But I sympathize more with the developers who have to field irate complaints from people about why they haven't updated their software to work with an operating system that hasn't shipped.

Getting a kernal panic after installation:

Process 1 ecec of /sbin/launchd failed, errno 2"@sourcecache/xnu/xnu-2422.110.17/bsd/kern/kern_exec.c:3

BSD process name corresponding to current thread: init
Boot args: config="\OX X Install Data\com.apple.boot

Mac OS version: not yet set

Kernel version: 13.3.0

I don't... It'll be the standard response of rollback your Operating System, Click!... Beeep... Beeep.... Beeep...

oh no...

ya, get more bandwidth.

website comes up...website goes down.....*counts the number of times this happens*

It says the site is being updated. I signed up the second it was possible after the WWDC keynote. I'm going to be pissed if they don't have a code for me.

Anyone able to sign into the Feedback Assistant? Not sure if it just won't work or the servers are being hit.

Also, where to enable dark theme be at?

Right now, for this particular beta release, there isn't a fully fledged "dark theme", only the ability to turn it on for menu bar and dock. This is done under System Preferences -> General, there is an option to check for "Use dark menu bar and Dock".

Each time download starts it gets about .5 GB in of 5.07 and then fails. Says anywhere from 25 min to 1 hours +. Has failed 3 or 4 times. Hopefully it will complete soon.

I shall not be complaining about any such issues...I am very aware of what a beta is. I have recovery plans in place should anything go wrong, far from this "nuking" you speak of.
