It, absolutely is. I dropped my iPhone 6s Plus from a height that was less than 3 feet (can’t recall which case was on it at the time) and the screen shattered. After getting the phone replaced at the Apple Store I purchased this Otterbox case (sold exclusively at Apple Stores) for it.
I’ve dropped it, in this case, a couple of times and my iPhone remained unscathed. The last drop occurred while I was exiting my vehicle. The phone slid across the garage floor (height was greater than when I previously shattered my screen) and landed face down. You can imagine how my face looked as I picked up the phone and turned it around to see the screen. There was zero damage to my phone! Needless to say I’m picking up this same Otterbox case for my iPhone X today at the Apple Store. I shall be ready when my iPhone X is delivered tomorrow.

Not as bulky as other “security “ style cases. In fact it’s the same, in weight and bulk, as the one I replaced it with (see testimonial posted here) and that one I purchased for looks. In fact I don’t find this case to be bulky at all. This is the lightest secure case I’ve seen so far.
And I love how only a quarter of the back is a solid color. The power button takes a little more pressure to activate though.
