I saw this at the Apple store, tried it on and hated it. Aside from just being really bulky, the buttons are super hard to push. Not worth it.

By the way, this wouldn't necessarily protect your case any better than the Apple leather case. No case will guarantee that your screen won't crack.
While there's no guarantee that your phone won't crack with any case, this case would almost certainly protect your iPhone better than Apple's leather case.

the apple leather case and a 3-4 foot drop resulted in a shattered 7+ on cement for me

can't chance that with X,

much less the glass back

I dropped my 7+ dozens of times unfortunately in this case never had an issue. The only thing that would crack would be the glass screen protector I had on it. I didn't drop the phone on purpose it's just things happen falls out of my pocket falls off my lap etc. etc. but with the glass screen protector in this OtterBox case there was never an issue with my phone. Used it extensively on my 7+ for a year and I was so happy when I saw they were offering it for the iPhone X

Did the impact cause shatter of the glass screen protector or was it something colliding with the screen too?

If the former I'll probably wanna get one

If the latter I'll chance it at least for a good while

You might want to get a protector.

When my wife’s 6 plus flew along the mall parking lot, the uneven ground and debris on ground caused the glass protector to shatter and crack. When you drop it, it’s never going to just strike perfectly in a corner. Peeled it off and all was well. Slapped another one on. If it wasn’t on there, I believe screen would have cracked.

The glass on the protector never shattered. It had a hairline crack in it. I highly recommend them. I buy the Tech Armor ones off amazon.

I love this case, and the blue really does look black to me in dim lighting, and blue in most others (which I dig too its a nice dark blue rubber on the front, and lighter on back plastic, and darkest on leather portion I think- which looks black in even more lighting

a light knock against the table where I was eating lunch (not corners/edge), theoretically might've saved it.

im sloppy so I gotta keep this case

and love the see through and leather (once again),

also, this is some weird bug where slide up showed nothing but my wallpaper and it looks really cool on OLED

loving this display too/the notch in portrait is tasty in certain settings/situations

How is the adhesive if you need to remove it? Any residue? Also what do you think about screen clarity with this on?

Got my case today. Love it. Adds a little bulk but feels protected and looks sweet. Great purchase. What are your thoughts on popsockets?

I hate the aesthetic of pop sockets.

Maybe they’re useful but dont want a nipple on the back of my phone. Refuse

Destroys the lay down-ability too

OMG this case looks perfect! There are no apple stores near me and I never look at cases on the apple site apart from the Apple brand ones so I have never seen this! Ordering this baby today in the wine color, I'll post my thoughts and pics when I get it

Please post the pics if you have received the wine case ! Thank you !

Sure thing! I'll get some up when I get home tonight as I got it yesterday.

Early warning though: it's definitely more purple than dark red, really is the color of a red wine actually.

Would anyone who has this case mind seeing if it works with the Apple lightning dock?

I just bought this 2 pack for 8$ no tax

https://www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B076BFVR6J/ref=ya_st_dp_summary?ie=UTF8&psc=1

Hope it’s decent

Lays overtop of the notch which I prefer to around the notch tempered glass

Looks bizarre and eye catching to me

I’ll let ya know how it goes in a couple days

How are your screen protectors? I’ve always had them on other iPhones but put one on my X and hated how obvious it was not covering the notch. Pulled it right off and just rocking the Statement on its own.

It’s ok the notch part is off in relation to actual notch it drops down a little further

Can visibly tell notch area is covered but I think it’s more seamless than just a screen cut protector

The screen protector itself isn’t bad just wish they had an exact notch cutout not a somewhat close one

But FaceID is uninterrupted w it cause holes cut out for the sensors themselves

It’s a tough trade off but I think having notch protected too is smart since it’s a good piece of the front glass that could shatter in a drop or Incident too

Easier swipe from edges having a protector that lays over top the black glass too

Had this black case on from the first minute I got my X on Friday 3rd. It's simply gorgeus!
I liked it so much that I also bought yesterday the blue one, just for fun.
When changing for the blue case there were no speckles either on phone's back or inside the black case (maybe this is the reason for this case being a little tight).
Highly recommended in my opinion.

Cool video on the wine one and full front screen protector cautions w other cases that causes bubbling up. And seems like she’s having problems with this one

I was lucky to install it without it coming up So I probably won’t remove this case haha

Probably depends what corners you put the phone in first but

Her screen protector seems similar to mine too with the cut outs

Is this any bulkier than the Symmetry series? Debating between the two, and then if I should get black or blue for my space grey X

It's a bit bulkier from what I can remember, I had the blue then exchanged it for the black one. Honestly, they both looked good on the silver and sure they'll look as nice on the space grey. It's a solid case, if you can deal with the bulk, it's a keeper.
