It says compatible with verizon and AT&T iPhone 4. Will it fit on the new 4S?

The white iPhone 4 has the proximity sensor in a different place than the black iPhone 4. Both models of iPhone 4S have the proximity sensor in the new spot. Hence, cases that fit the white iPhone 4 and the iPhone 4S. Not greedy, not hard to understand.

The new Defender (note the difference in the proximity sensor opening): http://demandware.edgesuite.net/aae...318064677913/images/large/apl2-i4sun-20-1.jpg

Stop spreading misinformation man. This is totally not true. I have both a white and black iP4 and the sensors are in the exact same area, you just can't always see it on the black one cause it blends in with the black face.

Im thinking that the cases really are a little different. The only reason I say this is because of the antennae redesign in the 4s. Also by the looks of the things that I can see are changed on the case are the cutouts around the camera and light sensor. Im thinking that otterbox may have gotten some complaints about their case interfering with the camera and the light sensor.

Otterbox.com on the iPhone 4 case on a iPhone 4S: ''This case does not fit the white iPhone 4 or the iPhone 4S.
Our iPhone 4S cases do.''

Apple didn't do the Accessory market any good by making the same phone with the same design. Since the iphone has been out for a while now, cell phone cases have significantly dropped in price. I bought a iPhone 4 defender case for $16 on Amazon a couple days ago. I'm Sure a lot of people with iphone 4 cases will use the same for their 4S phones. Which means bad business for companies like Otterbox, because they want you to buy a new product for higher profit margin. But since the new phone is the same old design. Do you think Otterbox would tell their customers that a old iphone 4 case can't fit on a new iphone 4S cause of compatibility issues? We will know by 10/14/11 if the case fits or doesn't... But if it does fit, can Otterbox be sued for false advertisement or something to the matter? Cause the honesty of a company means a lot to me and if I find out that Otterbox intentionally lied to sell a product I won't buy from them again.. Thank you..

Our iPhone 4S cases do.'
What is the real reason for your failed witch-hunt with fake quotes? Please share... seriously.

I received the Defender Series 4S case today! I didn't have the iPhone 4 case so I don't have anything to compare it to.

So they are providing misinformation as well right http://mashable.com/2011/10/04/iphone-4s-pics/

Look, all I know is what I have to look at, not what some unknown blogger states in their story. I have both an iPhone 4 ATT white and black phone. The sensor is in the same spot. I have cases that cover the front of the phones and have cutouts for the sensor and there is not problem with either the black or white iPhone. When I look at it, they look to be in the same location. Also, plenty of other case companies that make cases that cover the front of the iPhone like the Defender does have said that their cases are compatible. Furthermore, I have spoken with Apple customer service reps as have others and they have said the only difference is the change in the location of the silent switch, which matches the current location of the CDMA iPhone4. I don't think Apple moved the location of the sensor. But maybe I am totally wrong and did not do my homework well enough.

This is just like the debate about the white iPhone being thicker than the black iPhone. :p
