They'd never get rid of Grindr, as it's still iPhone exclusive (although they're supposedly developing for other platforms) it probably attracts more gay users to the iPhone. The app itself has a policy of removing any profile pics deemed offensive and, just like Apple, is sometimes accused by its users of needless censorship. Of course in private, you can send more revealing pics if you choose but anything public will get you banned.
Yes, most people use this app to look for sex (I've not, but who knows what the future will bring), but the public content on the site is not sexual and what two (or more

) consenting adults do in private is their matter.
Are there any hetero equivalents of Grindr in the app store yet? I think they missed an easy opportunity there. It would have been easy for Grindr to support everyone, just ask when first run if you were male/female and interested in men/women/both.
As for the apps that have been pulled they're mostly rubbish and if that's the reason they were pulled it'd be better for them to say so. Most of the apps were not really sexual to begin with.
In the UK we can show boobs in our newspapers, and yes children can buy them
One of these papers that regularly show uncovered breasts is the Murdoch owned
The Sun. Although you'd never see boobs for the sake of it in a decent newspaper - however The Sun is the most popular paper in the UK
So obviously this trash sells and some people enjoy it, we need to find a way that it doesn't clutter up the listings for everyone else but does allow those who want it to get it. It's not approaching porn, it's just cheap and tacky entertainment.
Let Apple decide about every aspect of your life. Let them choose your next partner as well.
Well if Apple will choose our partners then they don't need Grindr in the store after all. Many thanks for making our lives easier
