I can confirm the issue: have iPhone6 with 99 Gb free space and get a blue screen associated with a restart randomly when using apps: today 3 times!!!

I may have seen about 0-2 crashes a day since the 8.1 update. This week, it seems to be getting progressively worse.

I have had about 10 hard crashes today, and its barely noon. I am also not using my phone much, other than unlocking it to check an email or SMS. I have also ran zero applications and seen it crash and reboot on the desk.

I have 45 GB free.

The phone is almost becoming unreliable / unusable. I have never seen an iPhone act this way before.

I've only had my 128GB 6 plus since I swapped it out for the 64GB on Thursday. So it's been pretty stable (fingers crossed).

I'll start a new one. A number of people (me included) have reported an occasional popping sound when the new iPad Air 2 plays a sound through its speakers. Its obviously a hardware problem, requiring the recall of millions of devices, despite zero proof that is the case.

I have this static/popping/clack sound for a milisecond while i play music, this happens randomly when opening a app or surfing on safari loading a rich content website.
I've been using browser Mercury i haven't experienced endless static/pop/clack sound issue's so often anymore while loading websites for now..

My phone now does not let me use it more than a minute or two tops before rebooting. I should probably go visit the apple store. This is just insane.

Possible Fix!

My device: iPhone 6 Plus 128 GB; got it maybe 4 weeks after release date.
System State: Not restored from back, brand new setup, less then 20 apps. Been following/updating OS religiously.
Symptoms: Rebooting 1-7 times a day, usually when initiating app switcher (button double-press). This wasn't a complete reboot, so Touch-ID unlock after reboot worked, pin wasn't necessary.

So a couple of weeks back, I saw someone on this thread mention that "Reset All Settings" worked for them. After being frustrated so much, I got fed-up, figured I'd give it a try.

Well I'm now on day 4 and still no restarts! Occasionally, on button double-press, the phone stutters and while before it'd just reboot, now it doesn't. And to be clear, what I did was "Reset All Settings" (not Erase content). The phone seems to keep some settings, remove others; most annoying is probably re-adjusting my email notification settings for 3 accounts+vip, re-entering my credit cards into passbook and setup Touch ID again.

Good luck!

On my White 128 GB iPhone 6 Plus, I can confirm this has happened to me at least 7 times in total since I got the phone. Every single time I go to another tab, it refreshes. It isn't something an iOS update can fix.

The goddamn issue is the fact that the current generation iPhones only have 1GB of RAM, the hardware and software are pushing the 6 and 6 Plus beyond their limits.

The 2015 models better have 2GB of RAM like the iPad Air 2, or Apple is going to have a serious problem.

So far my 128GB iPhone 6 + has been fine. It's four weeks old.

Contrary to mine are five of my friends identical models, all have the problem and its a daily occurrence. Two of them have been replaced to no avail.

It'll be interesting to see if this eventually gets resolved.

In the mean time two of them bought the Nexus 6, it's quite reliable.

Not fixed.

It's been 3 weeks since I "Reset All Settings" on my device and the issue is back. 2-3 reboots/day, depending on how much i use my device.

This is beyond annoying.

My 6 Plus 64gb (ios 8.1) has rebooted itself a few times.

Yesterday I got texted a number, I tapped on it, and suddenly the phone locked up (while dialing).

Wouldn't shut off, wouldn't go to the home screen .... wth!

lol

Yup, that'll be me. Blue screen and also a red screen after many restores. My 6+ restarts itself at least everyday so I would have to add my password in after a restart. Booked in to the Genius bar Thursday.

Here is my post about it

rumor indeed. I have a 6 128 GB along with a couple friends, never heard of this issue until this article.

I had this issue, what resolved things for me, was a completely clean install, and avoiding the keyboard apps like swift. Hats off to apple tech support, they were outstanding.

I had a new replacement phone from apple. Which was nice.

Erratum - the apple tech support from the UK were pants - ended up being transferred to a senior tech support in texas i think - the difference was light and day. Yes the final call they made stated if they had not resolved the issues they would replace the handset (the 'geniuses' were also pretty sh:te)

Got my 6-plus 64gb model on release day in Australia.
Everything's been great till Friday 16-01-15...

First noticed when YouTube crashed. Then Safari crashed and the phone rebooted... went into a boot loop... did the power+home combo to get it 'back'.

Worked fine for a few hours then went to view some photos I had just taken and the photo app closes... then we start a new reboot loop which I can't get out of.

Plugged it into the computer/itunes... stuck into DFU mode... did a restore... things seemed good till last night... with Safari causing the phone to crash and go into a boot loop...

So weird. No new apps have been added to my phone for a month-plus. The only I did was bring in a presentation for Keynote on Thursday which played fine.

I've just done a clean restore... aaaaaaaand the App Store just crashed on me...

I'm currently working in Indonesia which sucks... there is no Mac Store here... closest one is in Singapore... Gonna need to send it back to Oz and get my mate to take it in...

Any new hardware is bound to have issues.... but that doesn't seem to stop anyone.

I was *this close* to upgrading... but held back

My mind is more saner than I am.

The 128gb 6+ model is very backordered. My friends wife ordered a 128gb model like 5 days after you could first order them and has yet to get hers. Meanwhile her husband ordered a 64gb 6+ like 3 weeks ago, and got it a week and a half later. They must be having some sort of issue with those 128gb models to have such a massive delay.

Where? They're both in stock in the Italian Apple online store.

Iphone 6 64

I have had the 6 now since the end of November alreay had the reboot issue start the next day took it back to AT&t no I had to deal with apple. So they had me restore it. Move on to Feb. now it is stuck in a reboot mode so they had me restore so I could ship it to them they have and of course since it had been restored they couldn't get it to do it again. So they return yet a week later it is starting it's same old *****. I hate paying 800 dollars for something they will not work the way it is supposed too:apple:

This issue almost made me avoid buying the 6+ 128gb, but I rolled the dice anyway....

Ordered back in September, got the phone Oct. 31, and haven't had a single issue with it at all. It's got much of my music on it, not all, has pics, stuff like that. I think it's sub-100gb left (far from full).

Never an issue and the BEST phone I've ever had! Love this thing! Even got used to the iPod functions, took some getting used to not having the wheel.
