Oh, and why the hell was Don Orsillo broadcasting the Phillies game this afternoon? Maybe they don't want biased announcers?
The idea is to have announcers that don't know anything about the team do the game. That is why they are having the Braves crew do the Yankee series.

And what is this they are calling a pre/post game.

hey Chicago whadda ya say?!

THE CUBS ARE GONNA WIN TODAY

edit:  i was wrong. stupid marmol. :(

Did anyone see that guy behind home plate with the flashing thing (looked like a clock with the Cubs logo and a neon ring around it) while AZ was pitching? I hope he got escorted away.

Also, YEAH SOX!

i didn't watch any of the games today, but from what i heard, tbs' coverage of the playoffs is abysmal...i thought they were better than this...i guess they downgraded when they got playoff baseball. is there a rule that says playoff baseball telecasts has to be bad? because that's a big reason why i don't watch postseason baseball anymore.

but it sounds like tbs gets an F.

TBS was never good so Im not surprised. This is about what I expected. Maybe Im just used to good regional coverage from NY and Boston.

I've heard people saying that there wasn't enough crowd noise in the mix. I really couldn't tell, as I was at a bar for the entire game, but it wouldn't surprise me.

And what's with Don Orsillo doing the Rockies/Phillies series, when the guy in the stands for the Angels/Red Sox series (Jose Mota) does English play-by-play on TV and Spanish color commentary on radio for the Angels?

Thank God for EEI..I would have rather listened to static than those two. Like calling a double play ball when there were already two outs:rolleyes:
I heard plenty of crowd noise on the radio. Even with the delay,it was worth it. Really makes me appreciate Remy and Orsillo...

compared to FOX or NBC, having these games on TBS is a massive breath of fresh air.

I don't know anything about these guys specifically, but their announcing doesn't "talk over" the game like you often see.

They actualy stop talking at times and just let the action happen.

Your kidding right. The reason they are not talking is because they don't know what they are talking about. TBS is the worst ever.

I swear...if I see one more TBS freaking commercial about Avis GPS or Frank TV, something is going to get thrown at my tv.

Go Rockies!!!

Wow, my @ss is still bleeding from this job the Indians are giving us.
I have to agree - Go Rockies!!!

On an Indians/Yankees note, both starters were wild. How C. C. Sabathia walked 6 Yankees yet allowed 0 of them to score I do not know, but I believe that was a big part of the reason the Indians won.

As far as Game 2 goes, this looks to be a pitcher's duel, much like Game 1 was billed to be (but turned out far from it). I hope Carmona and Petitte pitch better than Sabathia and Wang did... if they do, it'll make the game that much closer, no matter who wins.;)

Saying that Tony Gwynn doesn't know what he is talking about, coming from a baseball fan, is inexcusable and a crime against the sport.

Your sentence is to listen to Tim McCarver for all of eternity with no mute button and the volume turned to 11.

Scooter (the animated baseball, not Phil) will be there to help in case he needs a break.

Listen to the two doing the Sox/Angels series

Fingernails on a chalkboard would be more insightful and entertaining..
