i'd just like to chip in and say i had the same problem and i reset my keychain as outlined in post 38 using this link - https://macpaw.com/how-to/reset-keychain-mac

and it solved the slow opening times AND the unpopulated recents list!

Any news on the inclusion of an Apple fix in 14.7.3 and when that would eventually appear?

So far I have waited with this fix as I have many secure notes in the keychain ...

Yay, Pages, Numbers working normal with recents menu working.
Affinity apps working normal with recents menu working….. 😁
