What's the point? I'd only add Mobile Data to Control Centre and that's not even worth jaikbreaking for.

Never Jailbroken before...should I?

I did an 4G iPod touch way back when. It was nice to have the hack that changed the keyboard keys between upper and lower case characters, but that was about the only thing I found really useful. After a restore it was all back to normal. If your iThing isn't important you can try it just to see what's out there and then put it back to just iOS if it's not to your liking. Do some research to make sure this jb is ok, though, to make sure your iThing isn't going to get bricked or anything.

I'll jailbreak my phone to bring back the custom SMS App tweaks, HTML email sig, custom lockscreen slider, custom lockscreen elements, WiFifoFum, and so on.

Sure I'll put a dubious warranty killing, potential phone bricking software on an £800 phone. What for, to make my phone look prettier or have a few more tricks? No thanks. What guarantees are there there's no hidden code mining my data?

I'm steering clear.

Your post is full of inaccuracies. It does not void your warranty, restoring returns the phone to factory settings. Jailbreaking can not "brick" the device. The tweaks available enhance the overall experience. Nobody from Pangu is collecting data from you, you're not that important.

I wonder if there's some kind of measurement as to how much % jailbreaks are done along the iOS roadmap:

i.e. iPhone OS 1: > 50%
iOS 4: 20%
iOS 6: 10%
iOS 7: 5%
iOS 8: < 1%
etc.

I jailbroke iPhone OS 1/2 as I wanted to be able to use my original iPhone 1 in Holland, with a Dutch SIM.
After that I sometimes tried it for fun, but since iOS 5 or so, I never tried it anymore.

Am I the only one that cant live without "Equalizer Everywhere"? It my sole reason to Jailbreak since I do use my iPhone as an iPod 24/7...

Never jailbroken before but I'm tempted after seeing some kind of driver to get PS3 controllers working with them. Trying to play any complex game on a touchscreen is a huge pain. I think a little stand+PS3 controller is the way to go for me.

It would be pretty awesome, if along with a Jailbreak there was still a way to theme the OS entirely, so using it wouldn't resemble trying to do a crossword puzzle with a searchlight blasting you in the face.

& open up the USB bus for:

Data Storage
Virtual Networking so the ipad can act as an external display (wifi can't handle it)
Accessing game controllers
Accessing attached Storage devices.

Things that would actually elevate iOS devices out of "toy" status.

I am El Burro (That's Spanish for... the burro) & I support this jailbreak. Since SBSettings is now pointless, the only feature worth having now is free personal hotspot. But not sure if JB would kill battery life somehow.

I get free tether with T-Mo... any other reason to jailbreak at this point?

honestly i think there is tons of creativity in the jailbreak community. but that said the only think I miss about my last JB is adding rows and columns to the home screen. And getting rid of the app names on the home screen.

That said, I'm not going to do it because when the OS is updated there is no easy way to update it with a JB, that I know of. You basically have to do the whole entire process all over again. Just not worth the hassle for me.

Indeed the advent of ios 8 has lessened the necessity of the jailbreak, yet Apple has not completely rendered the jailbreak useless. I just jailbroke yesterday to get tethering ability on my AT&T unlimited data plan, untrusted hosts blocker to stop these ridiculous scripts and ads running when I'm mobile surfing, and NoCancelQuickReply, a really simple tweak that does the obvious that I can't believe Apple overlooked - stops the cancellation of a quick reply when you swipe into or touch the blurred area. These three tweaks were worth the hassle for me.

By default, it won't.

Never Jailbroken before...should I?

At least for f.lux.

Well the iOS 7 jailbreak wasn't available until Christmas last year, sooo I'd say this is an improvement.

Exactly. And the iOS6 JB took some 6 months to be released after the initial iOS6 release, too...

Remembering jailbreaking has a negative effect on speed. No thanks
