Why would you make such a snarky comment? It's not uncommon for subsequent editions to have content updates.

I wondered the same thing. There is zero point in buying this if there is nothing new in the book. The book, imo, was not a great read for me. I just felt bored by it.

Never buy the 1st edition unless you want to be a beta tester reader for the new afterword. Wait for the 2nd or 3rd when they've corrected all the typos and sharpened up the pictures. Personally, I'm holding off for the Osmosis Edition coming out next year so I won't even have to read it to know all the backstories -- just double tap the cover and it all the information flows directly to your cerebrex cortex. :D and /sarc

Honestly -- enjoyable & quick read. $18 for a paperback though makes me double glad I gave up physical books and went digital. And how is a paperback the same price as a hardback? When did that happen?

I'm kinda curious if they will update the e-book versions with the new afterword. All of the e-readers allow for updates, so it doesn't seem too unreasonable.

Good book - enjoyed reading this.
Was interesting to discover what a thoroughly dislikeable guy he was, but what a profoundly visionary guy.

When I first saw the pictures I thought it was a picture from the movie with Ashton K striking the pose.

Is it just me, or did they photoshopped the hand into the picture in order for it to have the same "thinking" pose as the original one?

Guys, I need to make a decision NOW! Should I order this paperback edition, or should I wait for the next edition with retina printing??

You should by this edition now, enjoy it for a couple years and then sell it so you can buy the retina edition.

Oh, for the love of the Flying Spaghetti Monster, there is no need to guess. This very MacRumors article describes exactly what was changed: "According to publisher Simon & Schuster, the paperback version will include a new afterword...".

And even if snarky, the original responder was accurate: changes to the actual content of the "body" of the book are rare, if not unseen, outside of separate editions of a book.

One Big Cow

I guess the milkman is out on his rounds again... Poor cow...

PS. I'll never forgive Apple for not giving us at HQ a free digital copy of this book when it was released... oh riiiight hahaha I must be high... wtf was I thinking right? I did get my glass trophy or whatever you want to call it... and yes, it's not scratch resistant...

Is this the 7" paperback version?...should I wait for the 9.7" version or will it look the same when you hold it at arms length?

Holy crap, just looking at the pictures, I was really puzzled at first. "Why are they putting Ashton Kutcher from the Jobs movie on the cover of that book?" It took a lot of reading to realize that's actually the real younger SJ.
