Is there a way to trace which process is triggering Passwords to open, or whatever this prompt means?

I'm not trying to login to anything.
I'm not opening the Passwords app.
I don't have the Passwords icon in my menu bar.

If you don't have the password, how do you log in on the user account?
If I've understood correctly then it's not a case of not knowing the password. It's a case of the Passwords app apparently opening on its own (which, in turn, prompts for the password).

But it's obvious that the OP does not have the password for the account he's using. And anything in the background could be triggering the password app, and he doesn't know what because he's not logged in. Maybe it's set to automatically log in to a guest account or something. IDK.
