Apple did not invent gold watches with red bands. There are hundreds of such watches.

It's simply one color combination that some people like. Likewise, Apple often promotes their rose gold / white band combination, a color set that Samsung had put out a year beforehand:

Did someone say that Apple invented gold watches with red bands or is that pathetic rhetoric from your side once more?

Personally, do you think that the pebble steel looks like the Apple Watch or not?

Bad week for Apple. The S6/S6 Edge and now this!

I doubt the S6/S6 Edge will cause a big drop in iPhone sales if at all.

Neither did Apple invent the computer, music player, tablet computer, cell phone or mobile payments.

Yes, we get it you don't have anything positive to say about Apple. Pretty much consistent with you.

They sure seem to think so.

If you've been following the Pebble threads, then you'd have noticed all the posts from people exclaiming that Pebble was copying Apple by using a common red & gold fashion.

A lot of them were caused by someone posting a picture of two watches side by side, something that Pebble themselves did not do.

Those are the people I was responding to, but I did not want to call them out by name and embarrass them.

I don't think it looks anything like the Apple Watch. Different screen, a groove around the edge, and it's not even rectangular, but more curved.

Why, do you think they look the same?

I'm not dissing Apple. I'm responding to people who are dissing Pebble.

Huge difference. It helps if you keep up and don't take things out of context. Thanks.

Shameless. These lot don't even care anymore. Brazen.

Nice to see the tried to copy Apple in every way.

Lmao! Really, Pebble? Okay, even they fooled me and I had to look twice. Of course when the screen comes on, its clear as day, which is which.

Always a shame when innovators become wannabes.

Pebble was innovative in 2012; now it's just Brick.

Just lost what I had for Pebble.. This is just shameless..

...can you honestly say that they weren't influenced by Apple's design?

Why is everyone so convinced that they copied the :apple:Watch? They started designing this watch over a year ago, even before the original Pebble Steel was announced, well before anyone knew what Apple had in store. Is it so difficult to believe that more than one company realized that a gold watch and a red band looks nice?
