Is the new graphics card finally dual-link DVI compatible (to connect to a 30" cinema display) or did apple choose a version that isn't again just to piss off people who want to use pro hardware on "consumer" computers? :(

If you are planning on buying a 30" display to go with an iMac you might as well spend the extra $400 or so for a Mac Pro.
 
It's difficult to get excited about something with a name like "Penryn". I mean, core 2 duo extreme just sounds a lot cooler, and as an average consumer, how am I supposed to tell the difference?

You are not. That is why Intel brands them "Core 2 Duo" and "Centrino Pro" and not "Penryn Inside". :)

Besides, Penryn sounds more like the name of a Pokemon then a CPU.
