I bought both the 17P and Air to see which I like.

Are any pro users worried about the camera on the air? That’s my concern. I love taking pictures and a bit worried about losing the 2 cameras.

16 Pro to iPhone Air.

Don’t like the new Pro lineup. Aluminum/design looks cheap compared to the Air.

Coming from the 16 pro. I dislike my desert titanium color, and the new pro looks horrible to me.

My objective is to experience the iPhone Air, not to replace my iPhone 16 Pro Max.

Carrying two phones daily to accommodate my normal workflow, the Air will be activated on my second line and afford me the opportunity to do a side by side comparison.

If you do photos / videos a lot, then you should keep the 17 Pro.

The Air is more for casual, low photo taker types of people like me. I just take quick snapshots regardless of quality.

If I want photo / studio quality photos, I would haul my DSLR with multiple lenses.

When i order/trade up it will be coming from the 14 pro max. Can't decide on the colour and will wait to hear about everyone on Macrumors’ experience with the Air. Looking forward to it. Leaning towards cloud white as there is something so Jobs era  about it. Original iPod vibes. Can't wait to read about your transition to the Air in preparation for mine in a few months. Battery life is the major worry for me, but that Magsafe backpack will definitely be great to have when needed. The stuff it lacks don’t effect me. The stuff that makes it special excite me.

16 Pro Max. I wasn’t able to get a preorder in for launch day delivery and my local stores don’t have any available in the configuration I want, 256GB in cloud white. So at this point I’ll just wait for the reviews and check it out in store when I can.

Only concerns I have are the single speaker and lack of mmWave support.

15 Pro Max. Once again, too big, too heavy, too difficult to use one handed, already miss the ultra wide lens. They can keep the telephoto, though. Not even Apple can cheat physics.

As soon as y'all put a case it, it'll be no different than having a Pro Max again, no?
Depends on which case. Some cases will increase the thickness to be similar to the size of the Pro Max and some cases won’t add much bulk at all, like the Apple clear case which Apple says the back panel is 0.9mm. But either way it’ll still be much lighter than the Pro Max and that’s why a lot of people are moving to this device, not necessarily for the thinness.
