Got mine in black this morning at the telco shop. Stayed with my black. Glad I didn't swap. I'm sure the white looks nice too but the black is very sleek looking. Slight scar/scuffing around the edge of the lightning connector jack but this was the last one they had. Ah well. quite happy with it.

I've never been a big fan of cases, I just can't find one I like well enough.

I've gone through Otterboxes, BookBooks, cheapo's, etc.

So, I'll do the same as with the 4 and 4S and just wrap it.

Just ordered 2 full body skins from bestskinsever.com
It wraps the front, back and sides.

I use their skins on my MBA and iPad3 too and they are crystal clear and I haven't had a problem with any of them peeling at the corners.

This will be my first iPhone ever, switching over from a Nexus S 4G. As an Android user, I have never used a case. I did. however, use a GhostArmor skin on my phone and that worked wonders. I think I will be leaning towards getting GhostArmor and a bumper on this phone based on the scuffing reports and just wanting to keep this phone in pristine condition.

Also, here is a photo of "scuffs" on a white iPhone 5 from an Apple store.

I realize it isn't a black iPhone, but it gives you a general idea of how the scuffs will actually look if and when they happen.

Scuff? Looks more like a scratch.

I think it's just proving that the back of the 5 is more scratch prone than the 4/4S. Which is obvious since its glass vs metal.

And I'm pretty OCD about scratches. I'm keeping my 4S but if I were getting the 5 I'd at least get clear protectors.

Just received both of them 64gb white and black through preorder.
Side by side now.

In my honest opinion, both looks good equally.

White; looks classy and elegant
Black; looks cool and stylish

The black slate looks easily scratch from the looks of it.
Have to be careful if your inserting/snapping into inner plastic material. Might scratch it if in and out a lot of times.

Does the black look scuffable? ;)

Indeed, both phones can scratch.

The issue is whether the black finish, on the band, is especially susceptible to wear from normal/careful use--i.e., inadequate anodization.
