Got mine (back+sides), installed it and the back piece felt great compared to other regular/glossy wet skins. It feels very smooth just like what you'd expect from matte skin. I really like it. It looks very nice on black phones.

The side piece is more grippy even though it's also matte. It feels almost the same as regular glossy ones.

Their customer service is great too. Very responsive. Shipping might be on the slow side but it's worth the wait.

Can't say yet about the protecter self (don't got it yet), but there customer service is indeed great, mailed them about my tracking number, got a very friendly and fast reply from them!

Here it is. This is the matte finish purchased from PhantomSkinz. The sides are also covered in the matte finish. The screen is protected by SGP Crystal Clear screen protector. The install was pretty easy since I'm used to wet installs. I did like the side protectors as it covers the whole side of the phone in a single piece. Now I don't have to worry about scratches on a naked iPhone. :)

Hey, I just got my skins and is it just me or is the cutout not the same length as the iPhone? The skin doesn't cover about 2mm of my bottom. Does you fit exactly to the phone? Without any gaps?

My skin also has a gap at the bottom. Not a really big deal for me, but it is there.

Mine was the same but I physically stretched it while installing it and now there is virtually no gap. It was quite easy to stretch but I was confused as to why they cut it that way.

Just ordered mine! I have a decal on the logo on the back (the retro logo bought on etsy) that sticks out quite a bit. I'm looking forward to not having to worry about it coming off from sliding in and out of my pocket.

@outie2k Loving the pics, btw! :D

Looking good. Waiting for my back & side protection. Why does it take them so long to ship this stuff?

Looks good, but how easy is it to install the bits between the volume buttons?

Do you guys think this will work with sgp neo hybrid bumper?

I have a simple rubber bumper around it right now
This bumper isn't incredibly snug but getting it on did manage to catch on the matte protector
It was easy to fix and adjust though

I didn't have much luck with this case

When I slid a diff iPhone into that it was very snug. So tight that when reaching the bottom the case caught the matte protector in certain areas. Also it became tougher to slide the phone in and out of the belt clip holder because the matte protector added to the thickness.

I recently bought some Phantom Skinz for my Palm Pre and here is how my install went. First off you get 2 sets of skins if you purchase online. If you have a Seidio battery matte backing or whatever you really don't need a skin on it IMHO, but that's your call.

I ordered the full skin because that's before I ordered my extended battery (not here yet), so I used the full skin during this install.

Yesterday I used the first set on both front and back. I first installed the back as practice and as I did not have any baby shampoo around I just used warm water. Basically I cut the wax paper in half that holds the front and back skins together and then I dipped one piece into the water for 20 secs. After that I peeled off the skin under water to keep the glue side wet.

Next I applied the skin very ROUGHLY by just throwing it on and aligning the holes. Then I peeled off one full half after alignment and applied it super carefully. Once that side was perfect I peeled off the other side halfway and reapplied it carefully, so basically I did the same piece in separate halves after alignment.

Great pics!

I'm torn between the thinedge bumper and full body Phantomskinz Matte. It's the usual dilemma between how it looks and how much it us protected.

Aside for accidental drops, do you guys think that a full body skin is enough to protect the iphone from scratches? What about the edges that are left exposed? Do they scratch-dent easily (again, aside for accidental drops)?

And does it looks much better than a thin bumper (like thinedge for example)? Do you notice that there is a skin on it?

I want to protect the Iphone from everyday use. I'm not looking to protect it from accidents like dropping it.

Thanks

Omg I have ghost armor matte back and sides and I am really jealous of the PS matte sides! Definitively cut power button, spaces for the speakers and the lightning port!? THAT LOOKS AWESOME AND SO CLEAN!!

Edit: Just looked at the website and it seems like they outsource their warranty replacements. I still think the product is pretty awesome, but if they handled their warranty replacements themselves it'd one up Ghost Armor!

PhantomSkinz shipping change

I agreed their shipping is horrible. I remember when they were a smaller company and had excellent customer service. Now they are larger, they seem to forget about the ones who put them on the map. I do like their products, but they really need to improve their shipping and customer service.

mac.cali,

This is not the first complaint that we have received regarding our shipping speed, or lack there of. We began using UPS Mail Innovations a couple years ago based upon great promises from UPS and their MI program. So fast forward to now, they are not any better or faster than just using the postal service with tracking and in fact, due to 2 different tracking numbers being used, they are often very confusing to the consumer. So as of last week, we have officially "ditched" UPS Mail Innovations and switched back to the USPS. We trust that this switch will have a better reflection on our service overall. As always, we have a USPS Priority Mail option that you can upgrade to if you have an urgent need to protect your device.

Thank you for your patience.

I want to try two different cases since I'm not sure how I want to roll yet, case or bumper:
1. Spigen Slim Armor with Bodyguardz Pure
2. Caze Thinedge Bumper with Bodyguardz Pure and Phantomskinz Matte Back

I'm assuming I should try the Spigen first before I put the Phantomskinz on so I don't ruin the skin and obviously I won't need a skin with a full back case. Is this correct? Or does it not matter as I can put the skin on and use the Slim Armor case?

Thanks
