Phone going back... now!

This is really sad.

Lots of complaining and whining.... about the people who have real problems with the iPhone4.

How DARE someone complain about their godlike Apple product. Its like a religion. They don't want to hear of any problems. (loud noise) I can't hear you complaining (/loud noise).

The real reason for all these iPhone defenders is because they're insecure about their iPhones.

They love their iPhone 4. They want it to be a wonderful phone. And in so many ways it is. Its the phone of their dreams. Its so beautiful, so fast, does so many things well. Apple has NEVER, EVER had a major product problem at launch. And minor problems have ALWAYS been dealt with by Apple quickly and generously.

There no way their faith in the Apple religion can be wrong. It simply can't be. The stock market always goes up, real estate prices never go down. Apple cannot have a major defect on a new product launch. Simple cannot happen.

Everyone who complains must be making it up, is a troll, secretly works for Google, is one person with 50 ids.

But what they're really afraid of..... what if its true? What if their awesome phone has a horrible deformity. Worse. What if its terminal. What if it can't be fixed in software. What if a hardware 'fix' isn't possible either?

No. no. Can't bear the thought of that. Must get back to posting on threads I claim I don't care about to overwhelm the complainers and complain about their complaining. Ya. Thats the thing to do. That will make sure my iPhone doesn't have a problem.

Well considering you've accused people here of being sheep, fanboys, and drinking koolaid all in one thread, it's pretty clear what you're up to. Which is also interesting considering you don't even own the product in question! :p

As much as I'd love to stay and chat, I have to go make some posts on "pet monkey owners.com" forums. I don't actually own a monkey, but I just want to chime in on people who are returning theirs. I'm sure people there will find my insights instructive! :D
 
Good for you - I will (along with a number of other people I know) will be doing the same come July 7th if there's no announcement or solution.
 
Correct me if I'm wrong but isn't the "bad reception" due to the software? I read somewhere that the bad reception was being found on 3GS phones running IOS4. That's why apple is about to release update 4.0.1!

So in my opinion that's no reason to return the phone!

Wishful thinking. There's not much evidence to support the idea of a software fix. Its fundamentally a hardware issue. Antennas should be not external where they can come in contact with human skin. Basic antenna design.

If it was just cause you didn't like the case then no, don't start a thread. But if it had to do with some function of the phone, as was reported using a Griffin Reveal case and causing a flash photo problem, then yes I would want to hear about it. It would make me think twice before buying the item.

I can understand people whose phone is fine getting upset with reading the negative posts. And as others have said, if it bothers you, don't read the negative posts. Not trying to be a smart@ss or anything, just stating a fact.

I think airing all the problems out in public will serve a purpose. Maybe to help pinpoint the problem.

Yeah my bad your correct. I went back a re-read the article and what the "software" problem is the display of the signal bars! So my bad!
 


What makes you people (ones coming in and letting the MR community know you're returning your i) think any of us care? If you're not happy, return it! Why come into a rumor forum to tell us all? Why start you own thread declaring such when there are another 50 you could of added to?

Why bother complaining about the complaining. If you're not happy about the complaining, don't read the thread. Why come into a rumor forum and tell us all about your complaining. Why read a thread you don't like when there are 50 others you could ignore too.
 
Ok, firstly, I'd like to thanks those that supported my thread. It was my original intention to get some discussions going regarding the return of people's iPhone.

Secondly, to the haters:

Oh, wait, I think I get it - you're trying to deflect by ignoring the actual point of his post. You're now trolling, got it.
 
All those who continually whine on here about the perceived shortcomings of the i4 need to do likewise and return their phones...and leave the rest of us alone. This forum has become virtually unuseable because of the constant complaining...

If you don't like the i4, vote with your feet and return it! Nobody is holding you hostage.
 
Wow, all this fanboy stuff and apple sheep nonsense is crazy. I have 7 different apple products including the ip4 and I love them all. However if my ip4 was not working properly, mine is, I would not hesitate to bring it back to apple and wait for a fix and/or next years phone, any company can have have a problem with their devices apple is not immune nor should they receive so much shi.....this is prob the phone as is for the next year, either buy it and use it or don't keep it BUT do not try and tell people that every phone is dropping calls, cause I have not had this problem living in San Diego. Just take the phone back if it is not acceptable for YOU but do not expect nor is anyone entitled to apple "fixing" this problem if a majority of the phones work. If apple does great for those with issues, if not, **** and return the phone. But this is prob the phone as is for the next year.

Funny. Especially when you consider than no one is holding you hostage and forcing you to click into all these threads.
