Considering the ridiculous price of the MagSafe Duo charger, these should be included 🤣 Nah jk jk each AirTag will cost $69. And require a HomePod in order to work.

'Air tag' ring looks just the same size as the mag safe ring charger. Could be a way to recharge 'Air tags" without having to replace batteries. Apple has found ways to make sure us users do not interfere with the apple products!

I'd get one. Hate misplacing my keys. A waterproof (and indestructible) version for my dog's collar would be great too.

I think I understand why they're taking so long: they need all the pieces in place first to make it work.

In other words:
- several iterations of iPhone/iPad with the U1 chip
- Apple Watches with the U1 chip (Series 6)
- HomePod minis with the U1 chip

Once you have several HomePod minis in the house and an iPhone/iPad you suddenly have an 'internal GPS system' for your house. So querying Siri for 'Where are my keys' will result in something magical:

"Your keys are in the kitchen"

...and when you get your iPhone out you'll be able to 'see' their location in augmented reality.

Lol, just $59 "accessory" for the actual Airtag that costs the same for a 3-pack.
...we can see it now. 🙄
I don't disagree. If you just know there will be third party options (or knockoffs, whatever word one prefers lol) for much cheaper.

I have have a Milanese loop knockoff I bought 3 years ago for $15. It gets best to hell and it's still rather nice.

I expect a replica of this exact keychain for under $10 without any doubts. Hell, they're probably already in production lol.
