Oh please please please do post categoric proof of ANY leaks by certified 'Apple' engineers, your entire post fell apart with that one, bar the fact you are still attempting to sell rumours and guess as fact.
Their is NO evidence, their are things people have mearlt said...

But again please post undeniable proof of an Apple engineer, as in one employed by Apple, leaking Apple information...

And I'm totally baffled as to what 'statistics' have to do with Apple rumours????

Tell me, do you think this video of the machine is fake because an Apple rumour website has told you so? Based on nothing but pure guesses and opinions..
Yeah you really don't get it and there is no explaining it to you. Lost cause.

You really need to look up the definitions for the term 'evidence', though. It might help. There is a plethora of evidence.

Calm down boys. all of you alll that worry about face ID are just a forum lurkers. Apple R&D team will come up with something nice and you will nod infinitely after phil schiler explains you about the new Face-ID.

So you've selectively chosen to ignore my question eh.. you lost the argument, when are you going to post the leak by the Apple engineer you claim to have seen? I'm still waiting..

Oh dear.

The leaks from the Apple engineers? Well there have been many. Several to the NYT, several to Mark Gurman, and the HomePod software leak. Not to mention the unknown ones.

Has anyone noticed how in the video there is no fingerprint sensor on the back? It's the Apple logo.
Watch the video closely.
If you pause the video there's definitely something below the Apple logo on the back of the phone when he loads the second one.

Some of the leaked shells had cutouts in the back in this position, so it could be genuine!

Ok last reply, their have been no leaks, you have not posted a single link to a genuine article to back up your claim, not one single Apple employee / engineer, would ever leak anything, they would instantly be out the door if they did.
Your claim is utterly false and based on apparent newspaper website articles....
The homepod formwarw was NOT leaked, I've stated already it was a planned release by Apple and I highly doubt they did not know what was in their own firmware they are releasing for testing!!
As for Gruman, another person who guesses stuff... again no conclusive proof at all...

So last year it was "I 'aint buying it if it comes without a headphone jack!"
This year it's "I 'aint buying it if it comes without touch ID".

What's changed in a year?
Well AirPods proved to be better than expected and I myself don't miss being psychically attached to my phone.
I get the same sound quality as with the headphone jacked earpods but without those damned annoying wires.
I hate wires. I just don't get people who MUST have them....
Especially since iPhone didn't lose phono connection - it got a free, included, dongle instead.
It's like pissing and moaning about Mac Air having no ethernet socket. There's a dongle option... I have, and use, both.

You'll always get the fandroid trolls on here putting Apple down because they know it'll be years before they get the same on their own platform - if at all. ie touch ID, Apple Pay, etc....
The rest of you should know better!

Haha google wallet existed before Apple Pay, the first phones with finger print scanning, facial recognition and bezelles displays have ALL been ANDROID. Go and check the facts.

If you look close, you can clearly see he is touching below the logo, and when you pause and look at the second iPhone he puts in, seems to be something below the logo, could be an outline of fingerprint lines like the touch ID logo? But regardless, he is not touching the logo.

Yes, others usually debut these technologies before they work properly, then Apple comes along and does them much better!

And don't forget that Android wouldn't even be what it is without iOS - go and check the facts!

Hahaha yes Gurman guesses with greater than 90% accuracy. You are hilarious.

Numerous people in Cupertino leak. They remain anonymous. Ever hear of that? Anonymous?

It's so priceless that you think Apple intentionally leaked the HomePod firmware bahaha. They literally have a secret seminar on leaks and attempting to control them and they just decide to leak massive amounts of info themselves. God that's something. Hah

I bet you doubt it will have an OLED display with a 5.8" display. Get a clue.

And yet you are not capable of providing one single piece of evidence of a leak from an Apple employee.....

Come back when you can....

Not sure if its been mentioned but looking very closely at the video when the phone comes back out and the employee rests the finger on the back then lifts the phone back out, the phone is not physically connected to anything. How would it communicate with the rig? I smell ******** on this video

Very much NOT interested in facial recognition to unlock. Not at all.

Oh and interestingly enough, neither are my kids - aren't they supposed to be wanting this stuff? Ages 13, 18 and 21.
Yeah it’s not as futuristic and magical (or exciting) as a fingerprint sensor under the screen.

The HomePod firmware is a direct leak from an Apple employee genius. Unintentional, but it's the simplest example which you need to be capable of comprehending what I'm talking about. There are numerous other leaks from NYT sources and Bloomberg sources inside Apple. Hence why they state 'said 5 Apple employees who asked not to be named due to discussing unannounced products'. Think harder.

Not futuristic? Haha yeah.

I absoultely would not mind the lication of touchID. In fact, I welcome it. Bring it on. Seriously. The Nexus I use is just fine and perfectly comfortable to use with this fingerprint scanner location.

Yes and no, I don't kow that we have seen a good working option yet to really judge. I am not super excited either, but I don't really know what we are getting yet. I felt the same about touchid until Apple gave me something really good. In turn, so have the Android manufacturers.

Your getting rather upset aren't you?
The Homepod firmware was released by Apple to beta testers, it was not leaked, so to suggest Apple 'forgot' or 'did not know' the contents of its own firmware releases is rather silly. And it highly suggests they controlled the leak.
The source of the apparent content of said firmware is from one or two sources who have no link to Apple what so ever bar being independent testers and developers, so they claim, they are NOT Apple employees. So again you are presenting what random people not employed by Apple 'claim' is true as fact.

You need to try again.

And again. You have failed to answer the question I posed about the video in the article of this thread..

Like I said, you simply don't get it. You actually believe Apple wanted that info to leak. It's called a mistake. A direct mistake from Apple themselves.

I have no idea what you're asking concerning the video from this article...I didn't watch the video as I read the article and determined the video is fake due to what it shows. Why is it fake? Multiple reasons but the three main reasons are that:

A. There won't be supply chain videos as Apple's manufacturers have strict no-electronics checks.
B. Apple would never place Touch ID on the back of the device
C. >95% of leaks have said that Touch ID will not be on the back and the most accurate leakers have stated Touch ID is gone completely.

Enjoy living in your little world of denial and being oblivious to empirical truths and evidence.

I'm sure you think the iPhone will be a total surprise and unlike anything that has been leaked about it. Hahah

It wouldn't be hard to get a lightning connecter to connect as the drawer closes.
Yes, but if you look at the video, the guy lifts the phone up immediately after the TouchID testing indicating that the phone was connected at that time - he simply lifts the phone up immediately after and did not 'pull' the phone out of any lightning connector. There's usually some resistance when you pull out a lightning connector from the iPhone's jack, and in this case not only is there no resistance, but lifts the phone up as opposed to pulling it out of any connector.

The only other possibility is that there's some wireless connection going on (which I doubt) or that it's a fake video, which I'm inclined to believe.

"revolutionary" ? No. This is the same type of module that the Microsoft Kinect has in it.

within 6 months all the flagship phones will have this.

zzzzzzz

Wrong, all the sources have been changing their minds every week this year as to what it will have, so no I won't believe a thing till Apple announces it as fact, it's been obvious Apple have controlled the leaks very well this year.
It's like the Homepod firmware, that was a planned release to beta testers and people claim Apple leaked all that info by mistake.. yeah right!
And these sources have been wrong before too, they are not as accurate as is claimed...

When has Mark Gurman made a claim like that in print and been wrong?

The back is aluminium, not glass, and has the antenna bands, plus the proportions are more close to iphone 7 plus than an iphone 8. I think those could be 7s phones, not 8, in case this is not fake, of course.

You really need to look up the definitions for the term 'evidence', though. It might help. There is a plethora of evidence.

"Plethora of evidence" of what could be the iPhone 8 Plus...

I think we'll leave it there... when you literally claim what a rumour website has said it absolute 100% FACT, something MacRumors probably wouldn't claim, then their is no point going on..

You've also deliberately ignored my question on the video of this article I posed to you three times now, and you have also failed, every single time I asked, to provide proof of your apparent leak from Apple engineers themselves.
You are either incapable of or unwilling to do these things, either way as I said no point going on with you.

Maybe it's tested via NFC, like Apple Pay?
