Isnt Jobs a vegan? Cancer or not, not eating any animal products whatsoever is going to make you quite thin. If for no other reason than most things have animal products thus there just isnt a lot to eat.

Most things which can (!) make you fat, are natural products which "we" extract from fruits (starch, sugar, and so on), and which "we" use daily in "our" kitchen. It has nothing to do with "animal products".

Their is no way in Hell our government is gonna switch over to OSX so that is your answer.;)

Obama uses Mac's, has used Apple OS X systems personally for years, and there has been talk of the military defense considering OS X systems. Well, now that XServe is gone LOL ;)

Obama the Mac User

Whether there is any veracity to any of this is a stretch, but interesting none the less. ")

I've always been as skinny as Steve is now. Guess I must dying too...

I've always been a muscular jock, guess that means I use steroids? ;)

EDIT: Why did I think that orange cone-like thing in the upper right hand corner look like a KKK hat? LOL

I hope he is doing well, Steve is a BIG part of Apple I'll always think of Steve as one of the greatest people of our time, my heart goes out to him I hope he does a speedy recovery. We love you Steve.

Class. pure Class! I think beyond the respect for his privacy in this matter I'll only post this about his health going forward.
:apple:

I don't disagree with you at all. He did the same thing at an EU summit on e-commerce.

As others already said, this was meant to be an INFORMAL dinner and by no means constitutes disrespect of any national or foreign authority. If there was any specific dress code (like in the Oscars, smart casual, formal attire etc.), protocol would have informed SJ.

Besides, he was not wearing shorts, flip-flops or anything of the kind...and what others were wearing (like a tieless shirt in the case of Mr. Zuckercrap) was not much better anyway...so relax, please.

I am alarmed at the growth rate of Microsoft in the space of your post. One company is more than enough.

If he meant it in British English, he is correct...

I give up.
I know the feeling. :D
I tried to put the Obama/Hu/Ballmer January meeting in perspective since this story first appeared. (Links and all…) But heh, fanboys and galls will believe what they want to believe.

Anyway:
I'll try again:
Steve Ballmer was in France on the day the dinner party was held, there to receive the Legion D’Honneur from President Nicolas Sarkozy. And it’s pretty hard to be in two places at once, especially when they’re a few thousand miles apart.
Admittedly Ballmer's French is dire, still he tried.
Linky… and here

Edit:
And… cue the usual "Cheese-eating surrender monkeys" posts

Being a vegan is probably what's wrong with him. Friends don't let friends eat veggie burgers !!!!!

Vegetarians are in general healty. It all depends on what you eat, a vegeratian could eat only fried chips so it would not be healty :) I'm vegarian and i'm awesome too and sadly i don't get sick even if i want :-( I have many friends who are vegetarian and they are not necessary slim, one of them has some Kg extra.

Last studies finally, after many years of ignorance, state vegans/vegetarians are OFTEN healty. Stop the nosense.

Get your elbow off the table steve, has your mother taught you nothing?!

I don't think that's true. :)

Yeah, didn't you know? Bush lost MILLIONS in oil investments and Cheney is practically broke from the no-bid contracts Halliburton got during their administration. In fact, Condoleezza Rice had a hard time buying thousands of dollars in Ferragamo shoes on Fifth Ave while on vacation during Katrina, "How Condi Rice Spent the Storm".

On Friday, the New York Daily News would report that Spamalot audience members had booed Rice when the lights came up. Then, the paper would ask, "Did New Yorkers chase Condoleezza Rice back to Washington yesterday?"

No, no, Republicans aren't making money, they're broke, and the DEMONcrats, they're EVIL

Notice Steve is the only guy without wine?

Good! That means he takes his liver transplant seriously.

Very skillful in how Jobs face and legs are hidden. Im beginning to think the newspapers are right about his condition.

Also, pretty tasteless to dress the way he does. I'm not a fan of Obama, but if I were to meet him and sit next to him for dinner, I would respect the office enough not no dress in freakin' turtle neck.

Jobs has ZERO class, none.

My parents are the same way. They hate Obama, and yet get offended if someone doesn't dress up for him. Funny how that works.

Cancer

By the way...Steve Jobs has a rare form of Pancreatic Cancer, called Islet cell carcinoma. The 10 year survival rate is 32%. That is very good, especially with all the money and drive that Steve has. He looks like he is a man on chemo, not a man who is going to die. I say he lives till his 80's.

He has said before that he dresses the way he does because he doesn't give a **** what anyone thinks about him.

I think it is very telling for Microsoft that they weren't represented there. You had Yahoo!, Cisco Systems, Twitter
Oracle, NetFlix, Apple, Genentech, Google, The Westly Group, and Facebook.

Wrong, 180, on the first point. His Capt. Iconic uniform is on because it creates a buzz. Doesn't want attention? Simply wear generic sport coats, etc.

His Man of Mystery medical tour gets him far more attention than simply putting it out there would (like every other person in the world does).

What part of Jobs is shy and retiring? He is a rock star and likes it. Why people try to make him into some sort of monk or something is strange.

He had a liver transplant.... Alcohol is a no-no after that!

This is true only if the transplant was because of alcohol related reasons (IE, alcoholism) There are any number of other reasons why one could have a liver transplant, and in those cases, those people can have a drink like anyone else.

Thats not to say there isn't other medical reasons that Jobs isn't drinking. And if there is, it is unlikely to be related to the transplant.

Or.. Maybe he just didn't want to drink!?

I wonder what do they discuss and what is the conclusion?

Considering how nearly all of those CEOs are solidly in the tank for Obama, and given how increasingly unpopular B. Hussein is becoming, his presidential re-election and prostrating himself for campaign contributions was likely the top priority.

Oh ... after prawn and champagne, there might have been some idle talk of technology and Jobs.

Conclusion? All that "genius" and not one of them cares about U.S. history and the dangers in repeating its mistakes. It's a shame that wealth has blinded nearly all of them to the danger of statism. It's too bad the innovation by this small, powerful, (and ideologically ignorant) group of elitists is restricted to technology.

The rest of the country is hurting. Gas and food prices rising, housing market crippled, jobless rate still 10%, bailout after bailout, billions and billions spent on a failed "stimulus" that did nothing but line Obama cronies' pockets, a health care "overhaul" that will obliterate not only the health care in the U.S., but the rest of the economy with it, US foreign policy incompetent, our troops' hands tied in Afghanistan - with no directive to really win there. Oh yeah ... give us 4 more years of this? Pass the caviar, Steve.

And there they sit ... Cheers to the community organizer-in-chief! How about we focus on the cancer that affects more than just Apple stock. No ... not Steve Jobs' illness. Something far more virulent ... America's. The blight of liberalism. How about we talk about how time and time again, it's utterly failed to do anything but grow an already bloated government, destroy liberty, personal property, and worsen an economy that used to be second-to-none?

Bon Appetit!

I think it's closer to 4-6% for 5 years Pancreatic cancer is the only cancer to have a 5 year survival rate of a single digit.
