Taken from the top of Mount Leconte in Great Smoky Mountain National Park.

Great shot! I may have to try the black and white conversion on my shots from Cliff Tops. I had no idea what I was doing when it came to photography when we hiked Leconte a couple years ago, so they are nothing special in their original form. I can't wait to get back there sometime in the future. How recently was this taken?

I have very limited time for pictures this week. I'm taking what easy ones I can and going with it. This is my son on his "new to him" bike. It was found abandoned in Florida by my parents a few years ago. My son is finally big enough for it, and my dad cleaned it up for him last week.

First real try with light painting;

Love what you were going for here. It's a fun technique to play with. The focus seems off on all the light trails. Nothing in the image is really sharp. Perhaps that's what you were going for, but these types of images do more for me when the lines/curves are in focus, or when selective focus is used to draw the eye to certain portions of the composition. Having everything out-of-focus weakens the image for me. Take this with a grain of salt though: abstracts sort of defy critique by their very nature.

Thanks Rowbear, cupcakes2000, and rusty2192 for the compliments. That image was taken just this past Saturday on April 9.

Here is my first attempt at photographing lightning:

Really like the look of this photo? Is it done in photoshop, would love to learn how to do it, kind of got a steely blueness to it

Angklungs are one of the instruments we use at my church. We also used a didgeridoo and an oboe during Lent on the same song.

I happened to notice that one of my bushes just got its flowers, so i figured I would play around with the tripod, cable release, and the landscape lighting.

Nice! Is this a French market stall? If it is, a lot of care has been taken to lay out the bars of soap attractively when you think it's all taken down at the end of the day. There were some good photo opportunities at the market in St Rémy if you get the chance.

Another beautiful photo, Reef. Love the colours and look of your pics.

He's cute! "If I hide behind this fern, no-one will see me!"

Ah, late Spring flowers! I love irises. You've got the focus spot on in the throat. Your season's a bit ahead of ours, unless you're growing them somewhere very sheltered.
