The reflections on the water adds a great deal of dynamics and depth to the photograph. Very nice. The colors are amazing.

Found some Autumn colour at Mount Lofty Botanic Gardens last week, decided to try it as a panorama here, using my panoramic head.

This is my first ever light trail using my new 24-105mm f4L - however even at ISO 100 its still slightly noisy in the sky - is this likely because I'm using a crop camera that's fairly old (400D)?

The noise would certainly be lesser on a newer or full-frame body, but noise is going to increase with longer exposures regardless of ISO or body.

Great first picture of light trails. Is your long exposure noise reduction turned on? That may help a bit if it's not on yet.

Noise reduction got much better from the Digic IV model sensors, yours is Digic II. Looks like you may have a bit of post-processing ahead of you, if you want it absolutely pristine.

Thanks for the responses. After a little research I now understand the issues with long exposures and noise. Guess I'll just have to live with it until I get a FF camera which should be a lot better.

Land Between the Lakes in KY is a large, protected area between Kentucky Lake and Lake Barkley. One section of it is a bison and elk refuge that you can drive through. If you get lucky, you can get really close for some good pictures.

This baby was so young it still had some umbilical cord hanging from its belly. They were headed right for our van, too. They ended up walking within a few feet of us - too close to use my 70-200mm.
