You say "Yum", I say "HUGE". Use that magic shrinker ray on it...:)

I used the image shack uploader after reading your latest update on how to upload pictures rather than going through IS's website. anyway, I forgot to set the size of the picture hence the brief giganto picture. So I had to "Honey, I shrunk the kid" edit!:D

I really love this one and the way the colours of the flowers blend into the background. I also admire the way you've managed to carry on with your 365 project. :)

I've surprised myself that I've been able to keep it up, too. I've managed to not miss a day taking and posting it (though not always here). If I missed posting something, it wouldn't have bothered me as long as I took a shot that day. I'm almost done now, too. It will feel strange not needing to take a picture each day, but I'm also going to be glad it is no longer a requirement, even it was self-imposed. The daily deadline has gotten old for sure, and I'm not going to miss that.

I've been out shooting close ups of plants with background colours that set them off. This is one I did of some lavender but I'm not certain I got the focus right. Maybe I should have stopped down a bit more to get more depth of field. Some feedback would be appreciated!

1/320 @ f/4

I shot mine at f/22 to make sure everything was in focus. Sometimes you want bokeh and sometimes you don't. Since I'm isolating my flowers with a white background, and texturing over that, I don't need to worry about blurring that out. However, the other two flowers I posted last week I had parts of the flower out of focus because it felt right to do it on them.

Ready for the next load. It was at an indoor dock that was built before 53' trailers were around so the nose of the trailer sticks out of the building a bit.

Wow! I love the way the notch in the middle mountains/hills and the inverted reflection act like and "X" marking the spot where your eyes go to view the distant mountain range. It was only after gazing at this that I noticed the geese landing (?taking off?). Now don't tell me that you queued them to arrive just as you were ready to take the photo!:);)

My attempt at macro, kind of hard with a bigger lens though…

Crop this to move the frog off center and you have an outstanding photo. Keep the aspect ratio the same, but get rid of the washed out leaf area on the left of the frame. based on your Flickr info, this was shot on a British Island in the South China Sea. Was the frog in the wild?

^^^ Beautiful...

I can never pass this old farm without taking a few pix...

And they keep getting better. I love the slight blue tint to the pavement and sky in this one. I don't recall your previous versions having that quality. The blue contrasts nicely with the warm hues in the image.

Actually, I kind of did. An old trick of mine is to bring cookies to a lake for the purpose of 'remote controlling' the ducks there. A well-thrown cookie crumb can get a duck pretty much right where you want it in a pic. On this particular morning, however, I forgot to bring cookies, so my husband ran back and forth between opposite sides of the shore, waving his arms to get the ducks to travel across the little lake and into my composition. He did that a few times before they decided they'd had enough of him, and they took off. The shot I posted is what I got when I saw them starting to flap their wings. I also have a shot of them zooming right over my head. Maybe I'll post that one someday too. :)

WOW! Do the heavens just open up for you? LOL! I always enjoy your work. :)

Yes, except when they don't (which is most of the time). ;)

Many thanks for the nice comments Doylem, TH3D4RKKN1GH7, fcortese, and xStep. :)

Thanks for the helpful insight Dale. Unfortunately, I did not catch this one in the wild (although I would have loved too). This zoo was nice enough to let a nice kid like me come in a snap some photos.

Here's mine for today:

I think it found some food on the ground, and was in the process of stopping to get it

You do know that is a poison dart frog, don't you?

Which zoo?

Your photo doesn't have a lot of appeal when it won't fit on a 23 in HD monitor. Try to keep the width of posts to 1200 px. or include a thumbnail with a link to the full size version.

I wanted a sunset picture tonight. But, this wasn't the one I was hoping to get. We were out later than planned, so I set up in the parking lot of Bruster's when we stopped for ice cream and got my sunset there.
