Beautiful :)

I first processed this Reefesque shot in colour but then later realized that the higher contrast BW processing would make it look more natural ...

Very nice gnd, I think the black and white works great here.
"Reefesque" eh? golly :p

… and no, I didn't buy one. :)

I don't know why... the low angle at which you've captured the cows makes the shot come across as amusing to me :p

Just received my new lens.

EXIF Summary: 1/160s f/4.0 ISO100 Tokina 12-24 f/4@20mm
Moose's Warm Polarizer filter

Dale

Reminds me of Australia... dry, gum trees, brown grass. The fence is a nice addition.
That's a great lens there, congrats. I wish mine were still in one piece. :(

What lens did you use for this?

The image EXIF data says the following;

Lens: Tamron AF 17-50mm F2.8 XR Di-II LD Shot at 30 mm
Exposure: Manual exposure, 30 sec, f/11, ISO 100

Yes, the non-VR(IS/SR/...) version, on a Pentax K20D with a CPL and ND8 filters, on a sturdy tripod ...

Very nice gnd, I think the black and white works great here.

Thanks :) how would you call it? ;)

Lovely light, as always :) ... quite a view from their living room there ;)

Here is another shot from last weekend, used a much shorter exposure here to preserve the detail in the waves and the clouds.

That's good.:) I thought they were amusing too, especially the bit saying they were made with 100% concrete! I love tongue-in-cheek humour.

The low angle is because they were on a high shelf!! :D :p

Great dreamy light and composition! The timing of the boat is perfect, well done.

I really like the two tone light/dark going on here, great shot.
Might want to adjust your horizon - looks as though Sydney harbour is pouring out to sea...
(I just got back from shooting down the beach, I was wondering where all that water was coming from... ;) :p )

Thanks, adjusted

Just returned from a vacation back East and a visit with Hurricane Irene. Here's a shot from Times Square in the evening as Irene was fast approaching. A few people were out on the streets but only cabs and police cars were on the road.
