Practicing and experimenting with my relatively new speed light and very new reflector. My daughters were very patient with me.

How'd you do that? Great pic

Depending on the ambient light, 30s <-> 2m exposure, let the flash fire, once it does, move out the shot as quickly as you can. I haven't actually seen anyone else doing this technique to be honest, but I don't know what the technique is called, so I don't know what I'm looking for :p

^^^Wonderful colors!

^^^Lovely^^^ Gorgeous colors. Strange, but it feels cold and warm at the same time :)

At some point you posted the link to your Gallery page, and I subscribed to it with my newsfeed reader. I was just checking the reader and saw this picture and came here to send you a PM to say that I love this image, and here it is. Well done, you have created yet another jaw dropping image.

Thank you so much for the kind words, Avro and Phrasikleia! I am a big fan of the images both of you post, so it means a lot.

Thanks! :) Great shot - very dreamy look to it. I imagine that dreamy feel lasts only until you step out the door into that. (brrrr, cold!!!). ;)

Thanks, guys! Lumberman, good to know that the RSS feed is working. The gallery link, by the way, is always in plain view in my signature. ;)

More fun with fog...

WOW! Stunning photo. Good on you! Love the softness of the water and the clarity of the house, and the sky....and the sky. Niiiiiiiice house. Kind of surprised that the "real" photographers haven't commented. I'm no Justice Stewart, but I know when I see a great photo:D Cheers

★ ANA GHEORGHIU ★

It snowed like crazy today! We were going to reschedule but I thought that the snow might make for some very interesting shots so me and Ana along with her friend Lucy took some shots in the freezing cold weather! Luckily, the snow was still fresh and not that muddy, slushy kinda snow.

I love how the images turned out! :D

VH-VXT at speed

1/8sec, ISO6400, F/4.5. Qantas B737-838 taking off.

It is very hard to get 1/8sec shots of fast moving planes taking off. That shot was a fluke! ;)

If only it were one of the newer Qantas B737s with the "Sky" interior. Blue lights inside the plane - look much more eye-catching at night.

What a great month it's been with so many terrific photos - well done everyone, keep it up!

Parking at Sydney Airport...

And SACL's prices are not much cheaper. But it's the only convenient option unless you want to walk a long way.
