The NE entrance into UniSA's City West campus, Adelaide, South Australia.

Three landscape oriented images put together as a vertical panorama. Getting rid of the green glow to some of the lighting was probably the mot annoying part of taking this picture. I have some Cokin P sized filters on their way to me, whether I can use them with this lens remains to be seen, but it would be better to eliminate the green glow before capture. Fingers crossed.

This is the switchover happening. It takes very good bike handling and skill to do it. The waiting rider holds his hand out around hip height and maybe 15cm out, with his thumb pointing out towards the hip and rest of fingers roughly pointing downwards. When the other rider grabs that riders hand, the waiting rider pulls back, like changing a gear in a car. That's how it was explained as I listened to a rider being coached in this art.

I'm not really looking forward to the day when it's my time to do it for the first time.

I like it. Where there's a will, there's a way and I find that many photographers have the will and find the way.

Thanks, the one advantage I have is LOTS of time to think ideas through :p

Looking good, LumbermanSVO. Now you just need something to reflect light in the front. You're not getting enough light there, which is a common problem with light tents that don't have a front panel. One thing you can try is hanging a sheet of white fabric in the front, with a slit cut into it, through which you can insert the lens of your camera. Just make sure it's a thick and reflective fabric (there are some inexpensive polyester options that work well).

Thanks! I thought about the front panel, but I think it'll effect maneuverability in the truck too much. Every little bit of space counts, especially when I'm not the one cooking ;)

I can get away with the umbrella because its a double fold one, so I can fold it up without taking it down. I have a small 8x14" soft box that I've thought about using in the front, I could clamp it to the shifter. But I'd need another light first, not that I'm against more toys, and the newish LP180 is mighty temping...

So I thought I would try something new (well for me) today. Fed up with all this rain and floods, so headed into Birmingham to take some photos. I mostly focused on the new Library because I'm not very good at seeing the photo in architecture like some of you guys. Let me know what you think.

Of course whilst I was in town I popped to Jessops to have a look at my next camera. D7100 verses the D610. I would really like the D610 because of the FF thing, but don't think I could justify the expense to Mrs Apple fanboy. The D7100 isn't exactly cheap either (I wouldn't be buying from Jessops by the way). I think I'll have a look at what deals I can find at the Photography show at the NEC in March. This is the new Focus on imaging replacement show on March 1st-4th. Let me know if you'll be there and you can say hello!
