I'll celebrate my 1500th post with a picture, here's to another 1500 :p

Entrance to glow worm tunnel...the full moon was out and each sleeper is a stepping stone above pools of dark settled water, which gave this reflection...

30s - f/4.5 - ISO1600 - 20mm - keen to return and reshoot this with a cable switch.

I was up north in New Hampshire visiting my college roommate and his sister. When I arrived they were running a little late so I cracked open a Sam Adams and got to know his sister's dog, Zeeya.

iPod 1G Click Wheel

Canon EOS 60D

50 mm (Macro Extension tubed)
f/1.8

I always loved the design of the 1G iPod, they always looked like the set piece from a 60s sic-fi, finally managed to buy one off ebay a few weeks back, love having one.

I have to agree with Doylem. This one is a cut about what I recall you posting up til now. There is a nice balance between the ambient and artificial light, a nice sense of depth (with the foreground boat pointing us deeper into the frame and sparkly lights in the background serving as a pay-off once we get there), and a nice sense of atmosphere with that ceiling of clouds overhead (which allows us a peak of the blue sky in the far distance). It's too bad those bits of foliage had to stick up in the foreground, but at least they're fairly dark and indistinct. It's a lovely photo!

Hi all.

This Black-capped Chickadee was photographed at the Old Quarry trail in Kanata (Ottawa) It was very tame and came back on this perch often, allowing me to position myself close and with a good background.

You've really picked your moment with this shot: a great combination of colours, with the murky sky contrasting with the lights on the boats... The best pic you've posted, IMO...
