We've apparently gotten around 8-9 inches. I'm not going out to measure it! LOL! I think this is the most accumulation we've had in several years. It IS pretty but can be treacherous, too, both for driving and for people staying at home, as power lines can be downed by branches and limbs falling due to the weight of the heavy snow. I've been lucky so far but others around the region have lost power.
We got a little more snow in the Baltimore area than originally expected. It is pretty though.

from the same storm that clix and inkmich shot. but (obviously) after the sun came out. i'd say we got about 6-7 inches here. i walked my normal daily route with my daughter and doggie this morning, and what normally takes us about 50 minutes took about an hour and a half, and was a much harder workout tramping through all the snow.
i did take photos of the actual snow but they are on a film camera, so not available. by the time i got to my digital camera i was soaken wet and cold, so just took a few minutes to shoot. but my backyard is completely trampled by a very happy black dog who loves the snow, and not photo worthy right now, lol.
Bah! That storm brought Darmok about 1” of sleet followed by a trip to 0 degrees F. The Darmok children were disappointed. Clogs of ice make for really short snowball fights.
I’m not coming out until you turn up the heat!

OK, two photos today - but they set the tone along a path back in time to a Cowcamp. It was the source of two day prior photos - horse, and red water pump - with its secondary dialog. Will also be the source of two or three more future photos in the coming days. Had fun stepping back in time as the staff spoke in a rustic vernacular of the time and the virtues of the saloon women. While I don't live there now, I grew up in that county and knew the historical landmarks and joined right in talking, with the appropriate slang of course, about the saloon (historically significant) at nearby Yeehaw Junction - which was better than its original name.
