Little wild "wabbit." Smaller than a tennis ball:)

How do you do it?! How many keepers do you get per day?! I'm astounded!

Many thanks for all the comments about my last pic. My ‘method’ is really just to let the light dictate the kind of pix I take. Being patient… waiting to see what happens next.

I keep everything simple - one camera, one lens, tripod & cable release. Low ISO, f10 or f11… with shutter speed as the only variable. With nothing to think about, I can pay attention to what’s happening. When the light is ‘revealing’, I shoot a lot of pix, generally bracketing 3 or more shots around the ‘ideal’ exposure. There’ll be one shot to keep, and the others to discard… but I don’t do this till I get home and view the pix on the ‘big screen’. Conversely, when the light is unrevealing, I don’t shoot any pix at all.

Goin' Fishin'

A quick shot of a young lad with a fishing pole. Not exactly a premeditated capture, but I like the sense of movement. Shot on Manitoulin Island at the Little Current marina... for those who know.

Patience, lighting, and knowing what does AND doesn't work :) This sunsetpennies one is just a little more soft and beautiful than your normal (high) standard. To me, at least.

Sundown in the North Pennines...

A single house sitting in an empty field, with no roads or eyesores in sight ----- where the heck do you find such awesomeness!?

Anyway, ever since I asked dllavaneras a few question about how to approach insects for macro photos in another thread, I decided to go and try to find some bugs. It's funny how easy they are to find when you don't want to see them, because it's actually quite difficult when you go out and look for them. They want nothing to do with you.
