Nice perspective. It reminds me of looking up at fireworks in the air.

Is it snake at the back of the frog? It looks like the tail of the snake from the photo.

Not a snake. Some branches perhaps. There aren't a lot of snakes in the netherlands.

I like the perspective of your flower shot. Fireworks as Mrs. P. pointed out.

Along the Missouri River-Part Duex; facing north

These pictures were taken on the river traveled by the American explorers, Lewis & Clark, in the very early 1800s. This area is just south of the "Great Falls of the Missouri River," present day Great Falls, MT.

The locks

Barry, you've got me interested. What's the story behind this one?

^^^

Something to do with this, I think: “One of the oldest human needs is having someone to wonder when you are coming home at night.” –Margret Mead :)

Doylem has it right.... the photo way taken on a pedestrian bridge over the Salzach River in Salzburg, Austria. The story has it that people in love, travel to the bridge with lock in hand. You profess your love as you secure the lock to the bridge. So, in love, together forever. Then, if you are sure, you toss the key into the river! There were a lot of locks ! If I had one, I would have written POTD on it! :D Honest

Mine for today.... or at least, this side of the dateline as I'm just back in Canada from a two week stay in central Europe.... I took this shot in hanger 7, in Salzburg... the reason I'm posting is not that it's a great shot, but that the lighting makes it look like an HDR treatment. I've done very little, if any post processing.

Wow, glad I asked. Great background story. Thanks. If we ever get to Salzburg I'll bring a lock and key:)

The back door by DigitAl3x, on Flickr

There's really not much to this shot, but somehow it pleases me. I like the simplicity of it, the minimalism, the green table in the shadows...
