This poor young duck was just trying to catch a few zzz's as I slowly approached. He was incredibly patient with me and I was able to get within the minimum focusing distance of my lens without using any food, or other trickery, to get him to stay. When I got what I was after I let him go back to his napping and thanked him before I turned and walked away.

There's this lighthouse under the George Washington Bridge . Seen it for decades from the Jersey side , finally tracked down how to get there . Was there before the bridge was built , not working now , who needs one light when you've got this humongous bridge all lit up?

Here's what cellphone cameras are good for, capturing the moment.

My 18 month old Lab/Border Collie mix "Leia" wearing the "Cone of shame".
Actually she did this on her own, getting into Francine's trash and came out of her room looking like this.
She had the trash lid top stuck on her head.

Not staged, and she was trying hard to get it off.....shortly after this shot I removed it, no time for a DSLR shot.

Nice! The only Carrera GT I've seen in person was #0000 (according to the build plate), with Stuttgart number plates on it. One heck of a car, and you can see hints of the 917 if you squint a bit.

I might have been quite enthused by it, except nearby was another car with the registration plate BB GT 198. If you know your Porsche cars, you'll know exactly what that one is.
