Im at work atm so if I remember I will. Isnt really too technical, typical car rig, two suction cups, telescopic arm car moving at around 5mph to reduce the shake of the rig minimal photoshop work to remove the rig. If you have a google there are plenty of pre post images :)

I'll share a shot of all 6 in a fly-by this time. They did originally start the session with the #5 plane in the air, but the pilot landed and swapped in a backup #2 shortly after they started. I didn't get any shots of #5 before the swap.

Be careful of your auto-processing, especially when photographing against a blue sky -- all of the F/A-18s have a noticeable halo.

Otherwise, it's a great photograph.

This is one situation where taking the time to brush in a dodge adjustment on the planes would probably produce better results compared to dramatically lifting the shadows or whatever.

Here's one of mine for today... Egyptian Temple of Debod donated to the Spanish from Egypt during the Aswan Dam project. (I wish I had got there a bit earlier to catch some colour in the sky :( )

Great layered landscape. Have you considered cropping the bottom?

Yup. I got confused between emotions and what worked objectively. Having the ocean in the foreground brought back what I was feeling at the time I shot it. Visually though, the ocean is a detraction. Here is a cropped version that is visually "better":

Here is my photo of the day from the same series:

Yes, I have noticed those halos. I've started re-editing the images to clean them up. I haven't finished and uploaded the changes yet, but I am working on them. Thanks for pointing them out.

I have uploaded the re-edit of this image and edited the post to use the new version. The halos are no longer there. Let me know if this is improved from what I had.

Mine for today ..... Square Tower House in Mesa Verde .Taken from the overlook on Chapin Mesa . All the wood beams appear to be original equipment from the 13th Century. There are small ranger led groups that go into this place every few days , wanted to get into one but my timing was all wrong .
