Wow! Your photos are always stunning, but seeing this one first thing in the morning certainly woke me up! Wish I was there looking at the real thing instead of the drizzle and fog here right now.

Ever had a moment when you've looked at a picture as you imported it and wondered what you were possibly thinking taking it like that? I'm normally anal about making sure there is no debris on my subjects and here I left a long stem of grass across this orchid... 
Whilst out on a bird watching club walk recently a member pointed out these minuscule orchids just coming into flower, so I thought I'd try and get a shot of them with my mounted lens. That didn't really work too well for me with the 55-250mm lens at full extension, a sever lack of light, so I had to keep the aperture wide open and me trying to keep still having to remain on a weird angle about 1.5 metres away from it to attain some focus...
I'll have to get back within the next 4 weeks or so with a tripod and my macro lens for some stacked shots.

Hello Mr 'Doylem'. I am a fan of your work, and the beautiful Lakes District of your home,
BUT
I am not seeing your latest pictures. Both of your most recent pictures are not visible on my Mac. Am I doing something wrong - the problem only exists with your work - or are you posting using different methods?
I've been having the same problems, it may be a DNS issue.
Try switching your modem off for a few moments then back on at the wall.
Thanks. One or two people are unable to see my pix... but I'm not sure why. I use ImageShack to upload pix, then I copy the 'direct link' and paste here. Should I be using the 'link' or the 'forum code' instead? Anyone know?
Everything is fine, you're not doing anything wrong Doylem.
@lizardofwoz, it seems to be a Telstra Bigpond DNS problem not resolving some Imageshack servers. See this recent whirlpool thread on the issue. I find logging into the router and disconnecting then reconnecting to get a new IP address solves the issue. Not all pictures will fail, it depends on which server the image is hosted on. For example I can reach img64.imageshack.us but cannot reach img62.imageshack.us, where Doylem's most recent pic was hosted. The problem is also intermittent, the other day I could see my most recent POTD pic but now I cannot.
I love how the reflection in the water mimics the shape of a mountain. Spectacular, as always.
Thanks, Reef. Tried that but to no avail. It is only affecting Doylem's work so I am guessing that it relates to his posting method.
His earlier work came through just fine.

A Bigpond problem would not be surprising...
You did nail the parallax on the center rail. I would just crop it if you want total symmetry.
