Northern Bush

Beavers have been at work to create this lone island where stands a single pine:

This is a bokeh panorama (Brenizer method) of my Trek T1.

Original file was:
102 images
14264x12917 resolution
184 megapixels

The field of view and dof of the entire composition (a bit bigger than this cropped version) could have been captured with approx. a 16mm f/0.65 lens on a full-frame/35mm camera. bit iffy on the math. someone please feel free to correct me!

I like to pretend there's something special behind these doors that only a small group of people know about.

Maybe the appearance is designed to hide something awesomely sinister - like a machine that kidnaps your teddy bears.

I thought I posted my picture last night, but I must have hit Preview and not Submit. So here's yesterday's shot. I deliberately went heavy on the tonemapping effect because it seemed to fit the subject matter.

I like the looks of the dark area on the camera right wall. Looks like something diabolical and capable of shredding teddy bears at will.

Been waiting until it's technically the next day to post this photo... It's my favourite that I've ever taken! (so far)

If that's all you got, then you're doing very well!

I love the abstract feel and colors in this one.

Here's mine for today.

Located at the crest of a small hill overlooking Atlanta's Arts Center complex, the Castle is one of this city's most architecturally unique buildings. Designed and built by Ferdinand McMillan as his retirement home, which he called Fort Peace, the building attracted attention almost as soon as construction began. At McMillan's death in 1920, it was noted as a city landmark at a time when the full flush of the Victorian architectural heritage in all its diversity still defined the face of Atlanta.

Haha, thanks.

Yea, I noticed that too. barely perceptible shapeless figure floating.

Now for something completely different.

The distant guy to the right walked up to me and asked if I liked that car. Not sure what answer he was looking for, he looked slightly disappointed that I said it's not bad. Maybe he was hoping I'd make fun of his friend for driving a tiny car.

But it's a Cooper S, so no joke made.

Two very different photo subjects, and two very different photo techniques, but both made me gasp! Great lighting, great colors, great sharpness, great job! Congratulations macrumormonger and Keleko!

Thanks! Did you notice the dashing squirrel on the steps?:D

The clouds look like they're painted. Interesting rendering of the entire pic.
