My Latest Toy...

A new addition to the garage always makes the camera come out of the bag...:)

Nothing special but thought I would share. We lost, but not too many people alive can say they saw the Cubs at Fenway. Here's a snap of a double play last night. Fortunate accident really. Didn't expect Youk to be in frame.

My younger daughter is a member of a local children's choir. This week they had the privilege of performing in three shows with the Atlanta Symphony Orchestra and the associated adult choir. It was quite an experience and honor for all the kids.

I work on the Ocoee River in Ocoee, TN. And this is one of the better shots I have gotten so far this summer! C&C welcome!

I've been on that river. It has been many years ago now, but it was quite fun. Nice shot of the raft!

Beloved Pet

Being May and thinking back on my missed cat Thunder, I thought I'd share a favourite photo of him.

The Sphere in Battery Park, Manhattan NYC.

After a 5.5 hour bus ride on Saturday, we finally landed at Battery Park, in lower Manhattan. The first thing we saw as we hopped off the bus was "The Sphere." (It was also the last thing we saw before boarding the bus for what ended up being a 6.6 hour bus ride home. Yes, it was a LONG day! But a good one.)

The sign in front of this says: "For three decades, this sculpture stood in the plaza of the World Trade Center. Entitled "The Sphere," it was conceived by artist Fritz Koenig as a symbol of world peace. It was damaged during the tragic events of September 11, 2001, but endures as an icon of hope and the indestructible spirit of this country. The Sphere was place here (Battery Park) on March 11, 2002, as a temporary memorial to all who lost their lives in the terrorist attacks at the World Trade Center."
