Another day, another historical home in Atlanta.

Traditionally known as one of the most recognized and photographed landmarks in Atlanta, Swan House is an elegant, classically styled mansion built in 1928 for the Edward H. Inman family, heirs to a cotton brokerage fortune. The mansion, designed by famed Atlanta architect Philip Trammell Shutze, provides a glimpse into the lifestyle of this Atlanta family during the 1920s and 1930s.

This was difficult to photograph because of the reflections in the glass and the long exposures needed to get it to come out. I'm still not sure I'm happy with it, but I wanted to share it for comments.

A variable polarizer filter can help remove some of the reflections.

Haven't gotten out for a while , but finally did so yesterday . Tried to duplicate a picture I took eons ago when I was in college. Things have changed some ... don't think the building on the left was there nor was the pedestrian plaza. Had to dodge traffic then. Anyway , it's the Flatiron Building at the intersection of Broadway , 5th Av. and 23rd St. in Manhattan . Still think it looks better in B&W than color .
