Here's a few of my most recent favorites. Hard to narrow it down ... there have been a lot of great pictures lately!

Otter: I have been noticing your name a lot lately ... a lot of great photos. This one is interesting, keeps me studying it. Keep them coming!

Thanks, Waybo!

Ouch, xStep! I love it, gameface! Thanks for sharing. To me, it's inspiring and emotional. A job well done.

Thanks Waybo! I kind of brushed xSteps comment off considering each of those tiny flags represents a body of someone who gave their life so he could have his 3 day weekend and BBQ this weekend. Typical California smugness. Here's another shot from yesterday. I want to go back tomorrow or Monday at sunrise and really do the site justice as it was harsh midday light yesterday.

I clearly understand the representation of each one of those flags and have a great appreciation for it. Perhaps you're reading too much into my comment. Feel free to PM me on how you took it.

Please, don't associate California with any smugness that you may attribute to me. I'm a transplant. You could safely say 'West coast smugness'. ;)

Very nice image- I'd probably enjoy just a tiny bit more detail in the foreground rocks, but not at the expense of the water's current motion blur.

heron88: Love the colors! The sense of peace in the sky is a nice contrast against the rage of the tide. Great job!

Thanks guys! I agree a that little more foreground light would've benefitted the image.

Here's another from a few days before. The sky looks really brown for some reason, and the image isn't as sharp as it could be considering I had seconds to set up the tripod and take each shot before huge waves would crash over where I was standing. However, I do like the texture of the water and the sunlight which managed to graze the tops of the incoming waves.

Memorial Day

Thanksgiving is a day when we pause to give thanks for the things we have. Memorial Day is when we pause to give thanks to the people who have fought for the the things we have. Taken at the beginning of the month, but held until now, to honor those who gave so much.
