I shot this in HDR as the sun was a little to harsh. I would love your C & C on this.

C & C? Looks like one 'technique' too many, IMO. Waterfalls are good to photograph in dull conditions (especially if you don't have an ND filter handy. You can easily get a slow shutter speed to blur the water). Adding HDR to the mix doesn't solve the 'problem' of 'harsh sun". If it's a "favourite waterfall", it might be good to try again on a cloudy day...

The lake was busy over the weekend...

Thanks for your input on this. Unfortunately I was only able to get it under the lighting conditions at the time. This is a 4 1/2 hour drive away so I only get to make up there once or twice a year. I will play around with some of the original exposures I took and see what I can come up with.

Here is another shot from the other weekend

Nice shot, where's it at?

f/8 at 85 mm, 1/640 and ISO 200

Trivia: Flow rate of the falls = 2,830 cubic metres (100,000 cubic feet) per second at peak. They do slow things down at times to divert water for power generation but, it's always a whole lot of water.

Havent posted in this thread in a while. Went on a trip with my photo club to the mountains of NC to shoot waterfalls and the autumn colors. This was one of my favorite falls. I shot this in HDR as the sun was a little to harsh. I would love your C & C on this.

You may find this helpful for taking waterfall pictures. The short answer is you can't fix bad lighting with any technique. You have to be there in the right lighting, which (as Doylem mentioned earlier) is usually cloudy or early/late where you can get a nice flat lighting.

Oh my! I love that.

Thank You !!! Here's what you get when you look to the left rather than the right . I originally wanted to get the Brooklyn Bridge framed like I framed the Manhattan , but it just wasn't going to happen .
