It's way too overproccessed.. I may give it another shot sometime soon..

Very well seen! Nice light and an excellent exposure. It's really quite poetic, isn't it? New life coming from a dead tree...gotta love it. Well done. :)

Thanks... that's exactly what I thought when I saw this... new life from old. The fortunate isolated sunlight almost made it appear alter like.

The iPhone's limitations have given you a rather nice 'painterly' sky. I'd be tempted to crop the bottom off the pic to make a square composition (then maybe put it in a frame and hang it on the wall).

Looks good to me too, but I'd maybe think about cropping to square as well (crop from the bottom)... to give more new growth and less stump...

This is my first entry on this thread, ever! It's of a lake near my home in the outskirts of Stockholm, Sweden.

Why thanks...I need to think more about cropping in the future.

How's this version?

This works really well in B&W. I like the somber feel that the softer parts of the image convey. Nice contribution.

Nice framing in this composition. The image seems a bit tilted to me, though. The pole on the right isn't parallel with the side of the frame, but not by much. The sky has good texture to it, but the shadows seem a bit too dark. Balancing these two elements in either exposure or post processing is something that takes time. Nice photo.
