I almost cloned out the green float but thought maybe it added some depth. I'll try it without.

A few good friends taken last Saturday. They were seriously lit from the right rear with a super bright sun, so the SB600 speedlight came in handy.

Stunning! I've always wanted to spend at least one night staring at this before I die. How often do you get these displays up there in AK?
It can be quite funny, and tough to compete in. I think it originally started in Belgium. It's best with mud, obstacles, lots of falling, bystanders drinking ale and clanging their cowbells for the competitiors. The Portland OR cyclocross scene gets pretty crazy starting next month. Halloween weekend is a blast.

I couldn't decide which one I like better, so I'll post two.
For me there's no question - #1 is the better one.
The first one is a better overall photo in terms of composition. Much more color and action going on in that one. The second has a bit better exposure, but I still like the first better.I couldn't decide which one I like better, so I'll post two.

The leaves are almost gone already in some areas. These (in the photo) will fall very soon. At the same time, the sunlight filtering though the branches create a golden glow of incredible beauty. Everything under the trees has a golden color.^^^^ Really nice shot! Sadly, the leaves are already turning for you.
