I was going to post this in the "Full Moon Fever" Thread, but since it doesn't actually feature the moon. I thought here was more appropriate.
This evening around 10pm BST I was lucky enough to witness a fairly rare phenomenon. A Moonbow or Lunar Rainbow. It normally happens when the moon is at its fullest, the sky is dark and there is rain falling opposite.
I have only ever seen it once before. This time I had my camera with me. The shot is a 10 second exposure with the camera leaning on a fence post. It was taken in Northumberland, England. You can see the lights of the village of Milfield in the distance.
