Another shot from the lighthouse cruise this weekend. This one a candid of my brother and sister in-law. I like it in a quirky way. Not a "classic" portrait in any sense. But just seems intimate to me despite (or perhaps because) it is shot from behind without them knowing. Perhaps me trying to make chicken salad out of chicken **** after the fact....
Playing with shallow depth of field on a smallish topic, under awkward lighting of three compact fluorescents almost directly above, no flash. Final colours are actually pretty close to real.

I'll be in Paris in a few hours, and the top of " l'Arc de triomphe" is certainly an area where I want to photograph from. So many things to see in Paris; my 10 days stay will be way too short to see it all.
One of the guys on the show Face Off (make-up artist show on SyFy) lives in an Atlanta suburb near me. He does work for an amazing haunted house that opens around Halloween every year. They usually have some of the best costumes and the biggest float in the parade.
