Lower Island Cove

Love this. Really good shot.

Thanks.

Nice shot Barry and great moody sky...think I saw a few like that recently. :)

Cape St. George, Newfoundland:

I've never been to Cape George, although I've been close. My boy were swimming in the ocean close to that area once. Never thought I'd see anyone swimming in that part of the Atlantic. It's not known for its warmth ! :) I love that old capstan !

A strong image that as I scrolled down the page really popped when it became a panoramic type format!

Imagine, while your dragon flies are setting up for the season, ours are on the edge of fall. I like the DOF in your photo. Getting those things to smile is a bugger!

Thanks for the comment folks. The area is close to the village where my Dad was born. My Mom is from the Island's west coast. Here's another shot of the fog complete with gulls.

Gorgeous colours and great detail Peter.

Found this little fella out in the front yard this morning amongst the rock roses. It was pretty small, about 40mm in body length. Wish I had the macro lens on to get even better detail and that I could have gotten a front on view, but as I went around to grab a shot from the front it took off.

Great shot!
I see your front yard dragonfly and raise you... another!
...also found in the front yard.

On a side note, I think I've outgrown my sensor/camera and or lens. I'm really starting to hit the limitations of my poor little T2i. Learning the hard way what resolution and noise is...

Thanks John and Barry.

This shot is from an area just outside Rocky Harbour, Newfoundland. Just one of those quirky observations as these folks were sitting out in the middle of a field and in the middle of nowhere...simply enjoying the sunny day.

Something else from Wales.

I was experimenting with a slower shutter speed with this one. It's so much easier with a tripod (yes I did try a similar shot before I had one, LOL)!
I also like the sunlight on the tree leaves in the top left. I think it was the only time I saw the sun most of the day. As always any feedback greatly received.

A photo of the jagged rocks at Dingle's coast, Ireland. I would love to go back with my 6D - the jump in the quality of the photos is just phenomenal.

I don't know why, but I was taking photos of a memorial and the only shot I liked had nothing to do with the memorial, lol. I just wanted something to show off the Sony RX100m2's great DOF.

A berry or nut or something.

Your little travel tip for today in case anyone is interested...it's not pronounced "New-found-land" but more like "Newfin-land" said very quickly almost as one syllable.

I think this is one of the best images I've seen from you here.

Thanks. Coming from someone who's photos I always admire on this site that's nice to hear.

Unless of course you just think the rest of mine are crap and this one is the only decent one i've posted ;)

One of the reasons I went to wales was to capture some nice beach shots. When I got to the beach it was a little unsparing and pretty grey. The town planners had ruined the seafront with a monstrosity of a building. I did find this brightly coloured kite to cheer up the otherwise grey shot.

Comments always appreciated.
