There are almost 48, individual petris in my Classroom. This is just one example.

Tmrw., I will bring the new 4K 60fps camera into the room (yesterday, I verified that it works seamlessly with the 77" Prometheus board) . . . awaiting the 180X objective that will arrive, today.

The 2000X microscope arrives tmrw. . . . .
Wait you teach biology? I learnt how to use microscopes before.

But my freshman year science class I didn’t get to do this part of the labs as Covid hit and shuttered classrooms. So we did labs online thru simulations and games on websites when it was distance learning

Yes; and more!

I work with kiddos in a Psychiatric Residential Treatment Facility (PRTF). It's a revolving door, and Therapy is #1

Currently, I have 5 Bio, ten EnvSci, twelve Chemistry, one Earth Science, and (as of Tuesday) one Physics student. In the same classroom; at the same time! We have four Periods, and the mix fluxes all the time.

It's a dynamic, organic scenario, and I am doing my best to keep them all engaged :)

For myself, I am now learning the Science of Pedagogy, and the strategies I will need to bring to the table(s) as I guide my kiddos through the process of hands-on learning.

The challenge for me is to keep them all actively engaged.

Anything I can do to help instruct, learn and foster a sense of wonder...

Wow so you actually teach moderate to severe disabilities students. That’s a lot of fun and different science topics to keep track of! I am an engineering major so I take more physics classes than biology and chemistry. I did also do natural science in my senior year of high school where it’s all about Earth science, some physics and some chemistry. That can be substituted instead of taking an advanced science course like AP physics, chemistry or biology in the senior year.

Were it to me that I may be so bold, may I correct you?

I appreciate your colloquialism, yet the correct formulation is:

'"I have learned" how to' ;)
Noted.

Btw today’s photo of the day here!
